SUPRISE - I

A girl in her early twenties completed her graduation few days ago. Her parents already started searching for a groom for their lovely daughter when she was in first year of her post graduation. Finally, her parents found a groom for her, so her marriage got fixed along with that groom.

Like all girls, she was also teased by her friends about her would be. Her lehenga, her make up, her smile with a blush on her face made her gorgeous that day. Her groom seems to fell flat for her is what she noticed at that time. Yes, she was getting married now.

Time passed by & she was sent to her in-laws house to live along with her husband. Before marriage, everyone knows that her groom's parents died long ago. So, only the newly married couple were in the house all alone feeling a bit awkward.

The next morning he got a call from his company, so he left. He worked until 7 pm in the evening. He was so tired, so he took a break. An employee knocked the door of his cabin & entered inside.

Employee : Kavin sir, aapka sign chahiye tha..

Kavin : Ha lao.. He signs the file & the employee leaves.

Kavin (pov) : I hope ki ab vo vaapis aa gayi hai.. Pata nahi achanak se kyun chutti chahiye tha use.. Vaapis aake reason batayengi madam..

He turns his laptop on, opens an app which is just like wattpad where stories get published online. He opens a profile & sees an announcement from his favourite author.

         I'm back finally. I know that u all waited for my stories to get updated but then I suddenly announced that I'm taking a break & I promised u guys that I'll tell u the reason why I've taken a break. So guys I GOT MARRIED RECENTLY & I hope to upload my stories regularly. I'm not sure if I can but I'll try my best. Have to handle household work (cute looking facial emoji).

Kavin (pov) : Kya..? Shaadi ho gayi...? I just hope ki yeh regularly update de.. Mujhe bahut pasand hai iski stories.. Kitna lucky hai vo jisne aapse shaadi ki hai.. Agar maine aapse shaadi ki hoti na tho godh mei sar rakh ke har raat kahani na sunta..

He sighed & saw a message notification in his phone. It was from his wife. The message said,
"Kavin ji, aaj raat aap dinner ke liye aayenge na..? Vo maine socha ki aaj mai bhindi banau.."

A smile crept on his face. He replied back, "Ha mai aaj raat ghar aa raha hu tumhare haath ka bhindi khaane.." He sent the message & realised that he was too direct in showing his love.

Kavin : Oops.. Yeh kuch zyada hogaya.. Pata nahi vo kya sochegi..

Kavin (mind) : Ab tho sirf devil143_imaginations (pen name of his favourite author) hi bacha sakti hai.. Let's go to any awkward situations in her story.

He searches an awkward situation in her story. In that story, the main protagonist (hero) smiles at heroine or female protagonist awkwardly & leaves to his room to get freshen up. So, Kavin also does the same infront of his wife.

Mrs. Khanna (pov) : Inhe kya hua hai..? Aise ajeeb se smile dekar kyun gaye..? Khair, mai dinner lagati hu..

Later, they did their dinner & slept that night. Almost a month passed like this. Kavin started having feelings for his wife. He wanted to confess his love for her but he lacked the confidence because of his own thoughts which told him that she may reject him (because he thinks she hasn't fallen for him yet & they are just friends).

Yes, they were husband & wife officially but Kavin told her on their official night that he still has no love for her as a wife because he don't know her so well. So, they became friends so that they can know about each other. Because of this reason, Kavin thought that it might be risky to confess his love to her.

Kavin opened devil143_imaginations account. He opened & kept reading different styles of husband proposing wife in his favourite author's stories.

Kavin (pov) : Wow.. Yeh kuch different proposal lag raha hai.. Ise aaz-maake dekhta hu.. I just hope ki meri wife ko yeh pasand aaye.. Hey bhagwaan, please meri wife ko na yeh proposal pasand aa jaaye bas..

He went to his house, rang the door bell. She opened the door & then he entered inside.

Mrs. Khanna : Aap yaha..? Sab thik hai na..

Kavin : Ha.. Vo actually mai ek file bhul gaya.. Vaise Purvi, tum abhi tak yahi ho.. I mean ki tum apne doston ke saath film dekhne chali jao.. Kab tak ghar mei akeli rahogi aur saara kaam karti rahogi..?

Purvi : Are u sure..? Aap jaante hai na ki mere dost mujhe itni jaldi vaapis aane nahi denge.. Aur mujhe unke saath shopping...

Kavin : Ha.. Aaram se shopping karlo.. Vo actually, mujhe aaj aane mei bahut der ho jaayega.. Office ka kaam bahut zyada hai..

Purvi : Thik hai phir.. Mai khaana...

Kavin : Mai kar lunga tum jao..

Purvi (mind) : Yeh Kavin ji ko kya hogaya..? Shaadi ka ek mahine mei hi mann bhar gaya kya..?

She finds it strange but she leaves because Kavin was forcing her to leave (in a loving manner). She finally returns at 8pm at night. She opens the door with her key.

Purvi : Arey.. She looked infront & was surprised.

Purvi (mind) : Mai apna ghar aayi hu ya koi film ke set pe..? Yeh itna saaf sutra ghar, khamosh mahool kyun hai..? Aisa lag raha hai ki mai koi family drama wale serial ka character hu..

She enters inside, closes the door & calls Kavin loudly to know if Kavin is at home or working in office still.

Kavin (loudly) : Arey Purvi mai study mei hu.. Mujhe zara candle jalane mei madad karo na.. Kuch bhi dikhai nahi de raha hai.. Candles study table pe rakha hua hai..

Purvi (loudly) : Aa rahi hu ek min..

She turns on the torch in her mobile while Kavin hits his forehead lightly.

Kavin (mind) : Yeh tho plan mei tha hi nahi.. Hey bhagwaan please mobile ka torch band karwa dijiye..

Suddenly, the torch gets off as her mobile battery died. She curses herself in her mind & in that darkness, she somehow fetches a candle & a match stick.

She lights the candle & sees another candle placed next to it. She thought something & then she lights the candles kept in a specific place which delivered a message. She read the message being said by the candles.

"I ❤ U"

Purvi was speechless because of the sudden proposal. Kavin plucks up some courage & says..

Kavin : Ab jawaab bhi dedo..

Purvi (hesitating) : Aap online mei stories vagera padhte hai kya..?

Kavin : Tu--tumhe kaise pata chala..?

Purvi : Aapka favourite author kaun hai..?

Kavin : Vo jo swap-pad (app similar to wattpad) app hai na usme ek author hai..

Purvi : Swap-pad..?

Kavin jab ghar vaapis aaya aur Purvi chali gayi bahar tab Kavin ne ghar ko clean kiya aur bazaar jaake candles aur kuch decoration ki cheeze le aaya.. Shyaam ko vo jaldi se room ko sajaane laga aur apne study table ke upar jo books vagera hai usko side mei rakh ke candles ko "I love U" mei arrange kiya (love in heart symbol). Raat ko jab Purvi ghar aayi tab vo kamre mei gayi aur usne candles jalaya..
