Emma.

Ask Ray to describe her and he'd say a lot of things; "Emma is silly. Emma is reckless. She is cheerful, motivating, caring, honest."

He'd say a lot of things except what everyone else wanted him to say; "Emma is a dream. Emma is someone I created. She is fake, fiction, a hallucination."

Ray didn't know why but.. after the trip to the Seven Walls, no one seemed to know who was the orange haired girl and it had started to worry him.

Had he been dreaming all along? No, it can't be. It just felt so real.. He couldn't have possibly fallen in love with a hallucination, had he?!

He tried and tried and tried to convince everyone that Emma wasn't just a fraction of his imagination, he tried to convince them she'd lived with them at Grace Field.

However, when he had tried to show a photo of Emma, one he had taken back at the orphanage where she appeared in her usual white uniform with her classical million dollar smile, the others helped him notice something.

Emma appeared way too blurry in the photo, so blurry that her face was unrecognizable.

"What?!" the noirette had said when Norman pointed it out.

It was weird.. That was his favorite picture and it he clearly remembered carefully observing the features on her visage a lot of times. He clearly remembered Emma even if no one else seemed to.

Ray had tried everything; drawing her, imitating her attitude, telling them about her.. But it was pointless, everyone suddenly forgot about her and the black-haired boy was unable to make them remember at least a fraction of her being.

That is when, tired of being treated like a crazy person, Ray left the house to start his journey on the look for the girl he missed and loved.

For the girl who saved him from his misery.

---

It had been months and although Ray's perseverance had augmented over the years, he was almost ready to give up.

Right now, he was walking through a village, it was cold, little snow flakes fell on top of his jet-black hair and his boots left footprints everywhere he went, leaving a trail behind.

He was about to exit the place when suddenly, he heard the voices of the people who had loved him yet left him for a cause, they said; "Not yet! Turn around Ray" and even though it wasn't entirely logical, he wanted at least a little grain of hope within him, so he followed.

He turned around and then, he saw it.

He saw a blur of orange rush past a corner and disappear.

This was Ray's chance, it was now or never.

He ran in the figure's direction, not losing any time.
Once he got to where he wanted, almost at a lost of air, he shouted: "Emma!"

The girl turned around and saw the boy, incredulous.

"Ray..? Is that you?" she said, unsure of what she was doing.

The boy smiled when he saw how the ginger had recognised him.

"Yes! Emma!" his eyes started welling up, she was actually real! She wasn't a dream all along!

She ran towards him and hugged him with strength, as if she was afraid he would slip away from her arms and disappear once again.

"How...How did you find me?! Supposedly, you would have forgotten about me.."

When he heard those words, Ray immediately confirmed his suspicions regarding the promise's reward.

The reward was.. Any memory existent of Emma.

Ray didn't know how had he been able to keep his memories with the girl but he didn't care at the moment, he was simply glad he had finally found her.

To respond her question he said, bluntly;

"It's the power of love"
