Chapter 11: The realisation (edited)

A/N Sorry, I was kind of busy and lost inspiration for a while, I also thought that I was advancing to fast with the story, I have no plans to discontinue it, so don't worry, well on another note, the images, characters are not mine, as always, hope you enjoy it, and don't forget to leave a comment if you want the side stories, or if there's something with the characters that's wrong.

After finishing to explain to them about her true love, she was forced to explain why they thought that prince Endimion was her actual lover and not prince Eskandar, and why even though they tried to remember him they couldn't do so, as well as the reason why the four guards that always kept the second prince company never mentioned the first prince.

Serena: "Well, for your first question, I'm not entirely sure, I think mother migth have belived that I fell in love with Endimion, as our friendship had blossomed quite alot, I also belive he had sligth feelings towards me, it could also be that I tried to cope with his loss portraiting my feelings to him, for the second i'm even more uncertain, it wasn't till we came here that I actually remembered him, so there might be some kind of block that didn't allow us to remember, the four guards is another matter lets not forget the fact that they were manipulated by the dark forces, but they also had made an oath to not mention the first prince as it would bring the second princce into depression as well as me, as he had disappeared months before the rebelion took place."

Setsuna kept thinking about the clues she was giving them and then took notice of whom were there, Serena had never disclosed anything related to her past life to anyone unrelated, but she didn't doubt to tell Zero, even more Zero had some similarities to how Serena had described prince Eskandar, more over his personality was he pretty much the same, he loved horses and he was a little awkward when expressing himself, the when she took into account their appearances she made the match, she was practically describing Zero.

She wasn't the only one that took notice of this fact, as Michiru too, had made the conection to Zero, seeing that Serena kept stealing a few glances towards him, and there was also the fact that Serena had come to a realisation few weeks after their arrival to this place, and the hunters prince seemed to had been the cause, now thinking about it, it was kind of ironic that even though he didn't had royal linage in this era, he was still considered as a prince from that organization as his family was one of the first to become vampire hunters at the time, but if there was something she wasn't going to deny was that their princess seemed to be extreamely relaxed by his side and looked to be even more in love with him than with Darien, that had cheated on her since who knows how long, speaking of them, she had not heard anything conserning them for more than three months, as she had kept an eye on them, the last she heard was that Tokyo had been under a mysterious attacker and he had managed to destroy great part of the city and after that she had lost contact with her informant.

Zero himself, even though he didn't show it, also noticed that the person Serena was describing sounded afoully like him, even to the point to his awkwarness and his love for horses, but he didn't believe that he could be that person as he would have remembered something like that if it was the truth, even so, he was left with doubt in his heart, could he be feeling attracted to her because of being that prince's reincarnation?, were the feelings he had not real or were they reawakened by her presence?, because if he was sure of something it was the fact the being with her made him feel comfortable and being able to express himself with out the fear of being judged by others, he even felt that he could confess all and everything to her and not repent of doing so, unlike when he was with Yuuki, as he always felt guilty being by her side, and he didn't thought he could thrust her with his more deep secrets, but Serena was different, ever since he met her, she burried deeper unto his heart and refused to get out of it, so he finally recognized that he was deeply in love with her and if he didn't wanted to lose her due to his current state and refusal to accept his feelings he would lose her to someone else. As such he strengthened his resolve about having his condition stablilized and to become a Dhampir, that way the benefits outmatch the losses, and taking into account the fact the Serena was practically going to become inmortal once she became of age, then if he was already inmortal he could stay by her side the only problem was if his condition would be passed to their children. The moment he realized what he thought he blushed quite alot as he was already imagining a life with her.

The others took notice of his face becoming reder by the second and could not stop themselves from asking what was wrong.

Zero: Cough "Nothing, I was thinking about how my mother would be proud of our line not dieing with me as the last member of our family, maybe my younger brother could have helped but he is gone, speaking of family, Would the dhampir condition be pased to my children when I decide to have them?"

Haruka: "Mmm, now that you mention it, i'm not quite sure, what do you think princess?"

Serena: "Well, from what I remember it's not the first time a person was in this kind of situation, they preyed to the moon godess to save them as they did not wanted to suffer from being a vampire, so mother gave them to choice of becoming a dhampir, he would basically be a human being, with the strengths of the vampires, but they would be mostly human, so from what I remember no, the dhampir gene was not passed down to his children, but they were stronger than normal humans, I think the mother's gene was stronger than his and that was partially the reason why, let's put my case as an example, as a moon princess, my family's gene would be stronger as we are inmortal to a certain point, we can still die if we face an enemy that's stronger than us or if they destroy our silver crystal's as our lifeforce is tied to them, as long as we do not overexert our selves in it's usage then we could live for millenia without a problem, taking into account my mother she had lived for far longer than the earth itself, if it wasn't for my death she would still be the queen of the Silver Millenium, but as she died i'm the current and only heir of the moon kingdom, if it were in the past my comming of age would be normal as my mother would still be in control, but now that she's not, my comming of age will bring forth all the power and responsabilities she carried at her time plus my current power, though even if I awaken I will not have full possesion till my final transformation takes place"

Zero: "What do you mean by final transformation?"

Serena: "I am a scout as well, but as my power becomes stronger my transfomation's appearence changes as well, this will continue till I have gained absolute control over my abilities, I will show you my transformation once I have recovered some more of my energy"

Once she said that they waited as few minutes as the principal still hadn't returned they assumed that he was still dealing with the vampires and hunters that came to the ball, as the mess they caused was pretty big, and considering his character they doubted he would let them go till they cleaned it all up. Once Serena had recuperated enough she transformed into her alter ego Sailor moon.

After the transformation, Zero could no longer speak he was mesmerized by her appearance, Serena was worried that he wasn't talking so she took it upon herself to explain.

Serena: "This is my current transformation, according to what I feel from it, i'm close to the final transformation maybe one or two more, i'm not really certain"

Zero: "... ... ..., Beautiful, cough, I MEan, your still missing one or two transformations?, then what's your current power level?, is it enough to protect yourself from the vampires?" he managed to say after blushing when he said beautiful and they all kept looking at him, some with smirks, others smiling, and one compleately red. (you know who)

Serena: "YyEs, though my current power could not be considered at full strenght, it should be enough to protect myself, even then I can feel that in my next birthday I will unlock a new transformation, so it should give me some sort of advantage, we also have to  take into account that it's not that far away, so we should still be cautious in case something happens"

Only after it was past 3 in the morning they noticed how tired they all were, as such deciding that it was to late to return to the dorms, they chose to raid the rooms avaible in the principal's house, meaning Serena and Hotaru shared one room while Haruka and Michiru shared another and Zero gave up his to Setsuna staying in the living room to sleep.
