"Giyuu, what're you doing alone!"
The said boy flinched in his spot, quickly tucking away his hands as Sabito strutted over. The other boy smiled at him before holding out a plastic bag.
"I got us some cream puffs from the cafeteria, we can share." Giyuu shook his head in response, ducking low to open up his backpack and taking out a neatly wrapped bento.
"My mother has already made a bento for me. Thank you for your thoughtfulness though." Sabito grumpily took out the cream puffs, still handing one over to Giyuu and taking the bigger one for himself.
Noticing this, Giyuu quietly and swiftly took it out of his hands and snatched it, leaving Sabito the smaller one.
"Oi." Sabito grunted as he glared at the black haired male. "Only a few seconds ago you said you didn't need these cream puffs, and now you snatch one of them?" Giyuu bluntly shrugged in response as he wasn't in the mood of having to argue with the boy in front of him.
Sabito admitted defeat and sighed in response, hesitantly taking the smaller cream puff and unwrapping it. Giyuu silently chuckled in front of him before shoving the creampuff towards his friend.
The other boy looked up at him, motioning if it was okay for him to take the offering. Once given the green light, he snatched it up before stuffing the food into his backpack.
"For later." Sabito smiled at him, zipping up his backpack shut. Giyuu hummed in response, eating up the rest of the egg rolls and rice his mum had packed for him.
The peach haired boy placed down his creampuff before leaning over the table. "Sabito, what's wrong?"
Sabito brushed his finger against Giyuu's lips, sliding it slowly across. He retracts his finger afterwards before showing Giyuu what was wrong. "You had a grain of rice on your lip. So clumsy." He teased him, grinning from ear to ear.
Giyuu huffed in response, turning his head to the other side. "Whatever." He glanced up at the clock before putting away his bento. "Hurry up Sabito, we only have a few minutes before we have to switch classes."
As Giyuu ducked, Sabito swiftly licked the grain off from his finger before going back to chowing down the rest of his creampuff.
Students filed out of the school gates, eagerly rushing back home to take a break from the stress of schoolwork. Within this crowd, Sabito and Giyuu walked side by side, their hands brushing each others each bump that was given from a rushing kid.
The two pause to look at each other before Giyuu hurriedly walked away, averting his gaze away from Sabito. "Giyuu." Sabito huffed, catching up to him. "Are you good? The kid pushed you a bit roughly."
"Mn." Giyuu stops in his tracks, looking back and waiting for the other boy. "I'm fine. Just wanted to get away from that crowd as soon as possible." Sabito smiled to himself, shoving his hands into his pockets as he walked closer towards Giyuu. The boy looks to his right and stares intently.
"What's wrong?" Giyuu asks, looking back at Sabito. "Do I have something on my face?" The raven haired boy started rubbing his face worriedly, thinking there must've been something funny with it.
A big smile spread across Sabito's face before he quickly dismissed the question. "Nothing really, you just looked quite photogenic."
Giyuu was left stunned, feeling a bit embarrassed by his friend's answer. "Was that supposed to be a compliment or what?". The other boy simply shrugged. After a while, the both of them started to walk in silence. Giyuu was starting to think the atmosphere around them was suffocating, yet it was something you couldn't let go of.
"Sabito?" Giyuu stared at Sabito. "What're you waiting for?" The boy slowly walked towards the other before he pointed up at the sky.
"Don't you think the clouds look extra pretty today?" Sabito gazed at Giyuu, his eyes like half moons. Taken aback, Giyuu smiled before looking up at the sky.
"Yeah. It's quite stunning."
The two boys stared at the sky for who knows how long. Pedestrians passing by them care to not look as their own troubles bubbled up within them. Giyuu snaps out of the trance first, quickly grabbing Sabito's hand. "C'mon." He grunts, gripping his backpack tightly. "Let's leave before more people crowd around here." All Sabito could do was give a small nod before Giyuu dragged him down the street.
Out of nowhere, Giyuu abruptly stopped in his tracks. "Giyuu," Sabito murmurs, "What's wrong?" In front of the two boys was the most coziest cafe you could've come across. Two mini islands on both sides of the cafe with little cat paw pillows on the chairs, each coming in different colors and patterns.
At the centre of the whole cafe was a massive cat tree, with an abundance of felines making the most of out of the comfortable space around them. Sabito glanced at Giyuu before smiling. "Do you want to go in?"
"Yes." Giyuu responded, not skipping a beat. "I want to get my mind off of everything." Sabito squeezed Giyuu's hand before opening the door, welcomed by a little jingle and meowing cats.
