The original process of coming up with hero taken directly from my ideas document:
OMG THIS IDEA DFSJKBNDIO JEOQFKD
Karl's the side character that thought the heroes cared for him, but gets left behind mid fight against their arch nemesis, Dream.
Dream sees how easily they left him, and offers Karl a spot in his heart.
ORIGINAL DIALOUGUE SNIPPETS:
"You know what they say, a hero will sacrifice you for the world. The villain will sacrifice the world for you."
"I have an open space in my heart for you, hero. I'll be your villain."
He let his hand linger on Karl's waist longer than he should have, supposing they should've been separated by now. Swallowing thickly, he pulled away, "My apologies, hero."
FUN FACTS:
-The original title was going to be 'One Last Kiss (I Love You Like an Alcoholic)'
-The first paragraph I wrote was: "Karl's body aches, he curls in on himself. Tears blurred his vision as he awaits death from the villain. He squeezes his eyes shut."
-It wasn't intended that Dream didn't know Karl's name, but I realized I skipped over Karl introducing himself and decided to roll with it.
-Karl still doesn't know Dream's real name actually is Clay.
-We know damn well Dream went back for that Chocolate Flavoured lube.
-The story was inspired by the playlist video on YouTube below:
