Chapter 10: Paranoia

Morning came quickly for the two as their previous activities from the night had worn them out. Lalisa woke up first and made sure everything was ready for the trip. Taehyung woke up and packed as well. He needed to head into the office first to get some things signed before they left. After he was ready to head to the office, he went to knock on her door, but she was already exiting the room. She blushed when she saw him as she thought about how bold she'd been last night. "Good morning Tae," she looked down.

He chuckled and lifted her chin. "You were so bold last night. What happened? Afraid?" She nodded her head to answer his last question. He hugged her and kissed her forehead tenderly. "I need to stop by the office, you can wait in the car if you want to," he explained. She nodded and they headed to the car together. Taehyung was a little quiet. He really should have stopped Lalisa last night, but he couldn't help himself. He was feeling guilty. Lalisa stayed quiet as well and just enjoyed the ride even though she just wanted to cuddle up to him.

When they arrived at the company, Taehyung smiled at her and told her he wouldn't be gone long and to get comfortable. She waved goodbye to him and decided to play with her phone for a few. Taehyung turned down his hot chocolate, but still greeted everyone politely before making his way to his office. When he opened the door, he noticed a piece of paper on the floor. There was a typed email that said one of his employees was spying on him for Min Yoongi and that they had proof. Taehyung gripped the paper. He didn't have time for this right now. He'd have to deal with whoever it was when he got back.

He returned to the car a few minutes later and he seemed to be in a foul mood now. Lalisa pouted as he got in the car. Once the door was shut and they drove off, she cuddled up to him. "My darling. What's wrong?" she asked quietly as she gently played with his hair. It soothed him somewhat and he calmed down enough to tell her what was going on. "I got an anonymous note printed. Someone in my company is working for the infamous Min Yoongi...I'll have to fire the person. They will be strictly dealt with."

Lalisa completely froze. Of course she wasn't working for Min Yoongi, but she was scared their old connections would come up. She knew now that they were rivals and that he might not believe Yoongi was only in her past if he found out that they had dated. Taehyung noticed she had stopped playing with his hair so he turned to look at her. "Nothing to worry about my love. You just focus on this trip. You'll have some down time so I hope you'll be able to enjoy yourself outside of work." he smiled and patted her head. She swallowed hard and nodded her head quietly, moving her shaking hand away.

The driver brought them to the airport and helped unload their suitcases and carry on bags. The two thanked him and went to check in for their flight. Of course they were flying first class. He was very popular so of course people there were taking their pictures and wondering who Lisa was. They asked him and he told them she was his new personal assistant and that they were running late. He waved goodbye and they got led to their plane where they were allowed to board immediately.

Lalisa had never seen anything like this. She stared in awe and Taehyung smiled. Such little things seemed to make her happy. He helped her sit down and get comfortable after putting away their carry on luggage. "It's not a long flight, so you can do what you want. We will check into the hotel upon arrival...and then we will have the morning free to do whatever." he explained to her. She smiled and nodded.

The flight was indeed short and she was super excited when they landed. Jeju was even more beautiful than she had ever dreamed. "Oh man. I may never want to leave here," she joked as they got off the plane and were escorted to their hotel. He checked into their separate rooms that were of course next to each other for convenience. He handed her the room key and then led the way as he'd stayed here many times before and knew his way around.

"I think I'm gonna go swimming," Lisa giggled before entering her room. "You're welcome to join me if you'd like, but if not, I'll see you for lunch time." She smiled at him. Taehyung let out a short grunt. As if he was going to let the love of his life go about a bathing suit looking sexy as hell in some unknown place. "I'll go. Change first," he patted her bottom and then went into his own room and changed into some swimming trunks.

Meanwhile Lalisa was still trying not to think about the whole Yoongi thing. To make matters worse, Yoongi himself texted her. Honestly he felt bad about breaking her heart and was just checking on her like an old friend. But how would that look to other people? She jumped and almost dropped her phone as his name popped up. "Fuck" Thank goodness Taehyung wasn't there or he'd think she was the one working for him. She decided to delete the message and hopefully remember to thank him at a later time. Paranoid was a nice way of putting how she was feeling. She quickly changed into her swimsuit and then went to meet Taehyung in the hallway.

Taehyung should have known better than to not take care of himself before seeing her in a swimsuit. He was grateful that he had a towel in front of him. Her bikini was sexy but not slutty and left room for the imagination. It was emerald green and looked perfect on her. He cleared his throat. "Ladies first," he said so he could watch her walk. She smiled and held her towel against her chest as they walked to the pool. It was an indoor heated pool and she was beyond excited for it. She had been so tense lately she was sure it would help relax her.

There weren't many people at the pool so they were able to choose wherever they wanted to set their stuff down. She set up her towel, took off her shoes, and then set down her purse before walking to the water and sliding in slowly. It was the perfect temperature. She sighed and closed her eyes before going under to get her hair and everything wet. She came back up and Taehyung stared at her in awe. He had to jump in the water in order to quickly hide his chub. She giggled at his splash and swam around him in circles teasingly. They spent the next couple hours teasing each other, splashing, and chasing each other around the pool. It was the happiest she'd remembered being in a long time.
