Jake

I opened my eyes after what felt so long but I really don't know how long I have been asleep . The first thing I saw was a plain white ceiling . I don't why am I here .. but I felt my body is so weak . I roamed my eyes as I hear some beeping sound . I moved my fingers but it's still weak but I could see some tubes around me . Am I sick ?

My head turned on the side and could see an old woman . I groaned . And I felt my throat dry , I need to drink water .

" W-water .." I said it finally but I stuttered . It feels like I haven't talked for a long time .

I could see the woman lifted her head as her eyes widened .. why is she so shocked ?

" Jake ! Oh my gosh .. you're awake ! " Jake ? My name is Jake ? Is she my mom ? Wait .. why can't I remember ?

The lady panicked and called called the doctor by the telephone .. and then she went near me to hug me .

" A-are you .. Are you my mom ?" I asked her and her eyes widened ..

" Jake , I'm your mom .. You can't remember ? " she cried , I felt pity for her . I lifted my hand , thankfully I had force to finally lift it and wiped her tears .

" I don't know . " I just said before a man in a suit came in a rush

" Goodness gracious son !" He then enveloped me with a hug but soon as he released , a doctor came in and two nurses behind him , they're foreigners . Wait , where is this hospital?

They immediately performed some doctor stuffs to check on me . As I stare at the old man on the side of the room with the old lady . The lady was still crying . Are they my parents ? But why can't I remember ? Am I that sick that I can't remember anything ?

" Doc , he talked to him .. he can't remember me , what should we do ?" The lady asked the doctor whilst staring at me worriedly . Wait my head hurts from the sudden change of language when the doctor entered . Do I have to talk to them in english ?

The doctor asked me questions but still I can't remember .. the old man even asked questions about him and what we did before but I cant remember anything .. did I hit my head or something ?

" I believe your son is suffering from memory loss Mr and Mrs Sim . We'll do further assessments and tests on him to actually know if his memory loss is mild or severe . We have to wait for a few days in other for him to regain some of his memories . It's normal for the patient to forget some things since he's been in a coma for almost a year now . " The doctor said , wait .. I've been in a comatose ? I can't believe I've been sleeping here for that long . Maybe that's why I can't feel myself when I woke up earlier .

The doctor and nurses came out after and I was left with my supposed to be parents . I just don't feel things were right in the first place but things are coming to make sense .

" Jake , son .. please remember us . I'm your mom and he's your dad " she said and I tried my best to remember but I just hurt my head . I frown in pain ..

" I can't , my head hurts " I said .. and they panicked .

" Don't force him hon , he'll remember us in no time . Don't worry " my dad said , can I call him dad right ? They said he's my dad anyways .

After three months ..

" Aww baby Jacob is so adorable ~ look at him smiling " Ni-ki cooed .. still amazed how the baby smiled .

" Yeah but Ni-ki , do you think it's better to give him a nickname ? I mean , his name is jacob .. it's afters his father's name but it's better to not mention the name .. " Ni-ki frowned , it's nice for the baby to have a nickname but why is she doesn't want to mention the baby's real name ?
