TW : A bit of suicidal thoughts in the first paragraph (not that bad though)
- - (Y/N's) POV - -
'Bruce. What is she?' A man's voice asks, and you slowly open your eyes, only to be blinded by a light, and banded to the bed. 'H-Hey! Let me out. Now.' You demand, and they all turn to look at you. 'She's a siren, with abnormal abilities, it looks like.' The one holding a clipboard states, and you burst out laughing. 'I-I'm a what?' You laugh a bit longer, and then you go silent after noticing that all three men were serious. 'I can't be a siren. I live in an orphanage. I'm nothing special. I'm just a nothing. I don't even deserve to be here.' You mumble to yourself, and look down at your banded arms and waist. 'Now can I be let go? Oh- also, what time is it?' The man with the clipboard looks at his wrist. '11.' You bite your lip. 'A.M?' He shakes his head. 'P.M.' You gasp slightly. 'Crap. I have to go, right now. Please, please let me go. You don't know how important it is to let me go right now. It could affect my well-being. That's how important it is.' They look to each other, and sigh. 'We can't let you go before we run tests, but we'll let you out of the restraints.' The one in the U.S.A colored gear, you think his name is Steve, he says, 'We don't have any empty rooms, but Peter's room has a bunk bed so you can just stay there with him tonight. Go knock on Natasha's door for clothes, and we'll bring up some food later.' You roll your eyes, and see Peter waiting outside of the medical ward. You sigh, and ask him, 'Where is your room? Apparently I'm sleeping on your other bunk.'
- - Peter's POV - -
You slowly approached the medical ward as it swings open, with a tired, and defeated-looking (Y/N.) She sighed, and asked, 'Where is your room? Apparently I'm sleeping on your other bunk.' You gulped, and licked your lips slightly. 'It's uh- it's this way.' You led her to your room as you spotted a bunch of clothes on the floor, and you mentally cursed yourself, glancing at her. 'Soo. D-do you need clothes or anything?' She nodded, and turned to the door. 'Tony said to ask a.. Natasha?' She walked out, and wandered around the halls until she knocked on one of them.
- - (Y/N's) POV - -
You raised an eyebrow slightly at his sudden nervousness, and followed him up to his room. 'Soo. D-do you need clothes or anything?' You nodded, scanning his messy room slightly. 'Tony said to ask a.. Natasha?' You walked out, and began to sing What a Shame by Leyla Blue (A/N : That song is explicit, just a quick warning!) quietly. 'What a shame, baby, what a shame. Coulda been with me instead of what's her name. Oh, what a shame, baby, what a shame. Had a winnin' hand but you- Steve?' You waved your hands in front of his face as he suddenly came back, blinking. 'Y-you- what?' He asked as he stood up. 'I-I don't know. I was just singing and-' He scoffed, and raised an eyebrow. 'Wow, you really are dumb. You're a SIREN. It's what you do.' His comment ignited some sort of power inside of you, and your eyes began to glow a fiery-orange. You clenched your fists, and your jaw. You looked down, and saw your fists ignited. You looked up and Steve was smirking. 'Crap. I'm just proving him right..' You thought to yourself, and you took multiple deep breaths, and as you opened your eyes, Steve was calling a meeting. 'This was a test? Seriously?' You asked, clearly not amused. 'Yep. And you passed.' You spun around, and Tony was standing there. 'I wasn't sure if you'd blow up or if you'd calm down. Congrats.' You scoffed and decided to let out some of your bottled up emotions as you walked off to Natasha's room, knowing she'd be there, since she wasn't at the meeting.
- - Natasha's POV - -
You were sitting on your bed when you heard muffled sniffling and a knock. 'Come on in.' The door opened and in the frame was the siren. 'Oh, what happened?' You rushed up and hugged her. You sat there for a moment, and led her to the bed. 'It was a stupid test. They don't trust me, and nobody but Peter knows my name.' She ranted on, and you realized something. She was right. You didn't know her name. 'Hey, I am so sorry. I never did ask for your name. So, I'm Natasha Romanoff, but you can call me Nat.' She wiped her cheeks and smiled softly. 'I'm (Y/N) (L/N.)' She looked down, and I realized that she probably needed clothes. 'Here, do you want some comfier clothes? I have some sweats and a crop-top.' She nodded, and I handed her the clothes and showed her to the bathroom. 'I'll be in my room if you need something.' She grabbed your wrist as you turned around to leave. 'Nat, thank you. So much.' You smiled, and left.
- - Peter's POV - -
'You did what? Why? She's already proven she can be trusted and-' You began, but Steve interrupted you. 'Pete, it's sweet that you like her and all, but she had me in a trance! That isn't okay.' The others at the table nodded, and you looked at all of them, betrayed. 'That was part of the TEST! It's not her fault! She thought that she was alone, and that could actually be very useful if she learns to direct it. We can't punish her for something she can't control. That's just evil and cruel.' Tony studied you carefully. 'But what if she's evil and cruel? Then what will we do?' You sighed. 'Then we deal with her.' A small sob escaped from behind you as you saw (Y/N) run into your room. 'Arghh, (Y/N!) Wait! This is ALL your fault, Tony.' You say as you go after (Y/N.)
- - (Y/N's) POV - -
You got changed into the crop top and sweats, and you headed out into the kitchen. Nobody was facing you, but you got a good chance to listen. '..She's evil and cruel. What will we do?' You hoped Peter would defend you, but he just sighed, and agreed with Tony. 'Then we deal with her.' You let out a small sob and ran to Peter's room to get your stuff and climb out the window. Peter barged in, and grabbed your wrist. 'I'm so sorry..' You whispered, and you began to sing Don't Let Me Down by The Chainsmokers. 'Crashing, hit a wall, right now I need a miracle, hurry up now, I need a miracle.. Stranded, reaching out, I call your name but you're not around.. I say your name but you're not around.. I need ya, I need ya, I need you right now, yeah I need you right now, so don't let me, don't let me down.. I think I'm losing my mind now..' You stopped to wipe your cheek, but Peter was in a trance. 'Forget this. I love you, Peter. So I need you to forget me. Forget me now.' You took a deep breath in and put your earbuds in as you listened to Impossible by James Arthur. You jumped out of the window, and you almost automatically caught yourself in the air. You hovered shakily for a moment, and lowered yourself down. When you looked up, you could almost see Nat's silhouette in the darkness. And with that image, you went off, on your own, to find your destiny. And who knows? Maybe you'll see Peter and Nat again. But for now, all you know, is that you're a ⓢⓘⓡⓔⓝ.
