So strong the disputes within our beings

So strong, and deep, and extreme

They fight us; within and without

So much feeling, all at once

Triggered by single subjects;

Love, hate, fear, just name them

Such authority they assume once they find us

And we tend to lose so much control

They twist, turn and wrangle within us

Putting us on the edge of bursting

Hearts flutter, stomachs churn, bodies shiver

Soothing, hilarious, and uncontrollable; the effects

The deepest; like flowers in spring;

Shooting and blooming

Heart melting; peaceful; and terrific

So strong, yet so placate;

An epitome of love.

Bubbling, boiling, and exploding

An epitome of rage.

Heartstrings!

Deeply felt; yet so inexplicable

Eyes redden, well up and tear

Nostrils flare, and fists clench

Bodies flinch, and blood runs cold

Goosebumps and tingles

Always on display!

Understood within; yet never enough explained audibly.
