Catching up

Percy's P.O.V

Diana helped me unfreeze Natasha and dry her off. She was tired and cold but okay. As soon as we got out of the water, her tail transformed into legs. We walked to a café and ordered coffee. Natasha had fallen asleep and was leaning on my shoulder as Diana and I caught up on what happened in each others lives. Diana and I used to best friends until we were six when her family moved away.

"How are you a mermaid?" I asked.

"I've always been one. When my feet touch water, they transform into a tail. You've just never known." She told me.

"Wow."

"Yeah. So when did you find out you were a child of Poseidon?" She asked.

"What? You knew?" I asked in surprise. She snorted.

"I've known for years. That's why I had to move. When my parents and I found out you were a son of Poseidon, they wanted to move away as soon as possible because you were too 'dangerous' to be around. For years now I've been traveling around, helping people."

"That's awesome."

"Yeah. So what about you?" She asked. I told her about how I got to camp, all of my quests, the two wars and finally the betrayel.

"And that is how I ended up becoming an Avenger." I told her.

"Wait, an Avenger? Do you know someone called Clint in the Avengers?" She asked. I nodded.

"That's my cousin." I gaped at her.

"Really?" I asked in shock. She laughed.

"Well, want to go see him?" I asked.

"Sure." She told me. I whistled loudly and after a while a black blur followed by another white blur landed in front of me.
Boss! Blackjack yelled. I sighed.

"Hey. Can you take us back to Stark Towers please." I asked him. He nickered nervously.

As long as we get our of here fast. I put Natasha on Blackjack and climbed on after her.

"You do know how to fly a pegasus right?" I asked Diana. She rolled her eyes at me.

"Of course I do. Hey, you want to race?"
