The end of 1st year/ Malfoy Manner
I knew that when I was going to get home my father was going to...well, I'm not fully sure. I stepped through the door and was immediately hugged by my mother.
"How was it?" she asked excitedly.
"You're not mad?" I said not seeing my father.
"I would have never been mad at you for which house you were sorted into." she whispered to me.
She hugged Draco and told us to wash up for dinner.
We walked up the stairs together.
The whole year Draco had barely talked to me, and I think it's obvious why.
"You know I'm still me, right? Just because I was sorted into-"
"Filthy Gryffindor. And you're always next to Granger the mud blood, and Weasley the disgrace to wizarding families, and don't even start with Potter." he rolled his eyes."
"Oh don't even act like you didn't want to be his friend in the beginning of the year." I said sassily.
"Yea his friend, not his little girlfriend. You always have wide eyes for him. Like he's a famous quidditch player or something."
"He is actually the seeker-"
"Quiet!" my father yelled at us, "The Potter boy is a disgrace. Much like both of you." He came up to me, "A Gryffindor? You might as well drop out of Hogwarts now."
"That wasn't-" I began but he slapped me before I could finish.
"Don't back talk." He looked at me coldly then walked away.
"People at Hogwarts talk, you know." Draco said slowly. "Not everyone was exactly friendly when my sister got sorted into Gryffindor."
"Yea, how do you think I felt?!"
"I'm just saying, we both got some of the effect."
"Yea so that's a real good reason to ignore me."
"Well Father sent me a letter, he said if I encouraged any of you being a Gryffindor it's just as bad as me into sorted into it. I didn't want anyone to go blabbing to Father so I took the safe route."
"Well thanks for taking the safe route, Draco."
Beginning of 4th year/Malfoy Manner
I had gotten close to Harry, Hermione, and Ron. They were better than my actual family. I was about to sneak out to leave to the quidditch World Cup with the Weasley's, but then Draco stopped me.
"Where are you going?" he asked me as I was already in the stairs.
"To, um, get some juice." I smiled hesitantly.
"Yea that's why you have a bloody bag with you. Where the hell are you going at 1am?"
"The Quidditch World Cup." I said sternly.
"Father is taking us the morning. We have seats with the minister." He paused, "Oh don't tell me. You're going off with you're that Potter." He made a disgusted face.
"It's not just him."
Draco leaned against the wall and let out a breathe of air. "You know Father is just going to hate you more."
"He's going to hate me regardless."
"Please, Parvati. Just don't go with them." Draco said seriously.
I looked at him, "Ugh, fine."
He smiled, "Ok come on," he signaled towards him room.
I followed him and sat on his bed. He pulled out a photo book. "I found this the other day." He set it one his bed.
"Have you looked through it?" I opened the book and there was a photo of Draco and I with a blanket on top of us.
"Yea, I was just looking at it the other day. Parvati, we-never mind." he looked away.
"What? You already started it you might as well finish it."
"It's sounds weird...but we really don't...talk or we aren't close, in a way."
"That's not weird, Draco, that's the truth." I kept flipping the pages and looking at more photos of us.
"Yea, I know." he looked down. "But I have just one question."
"What is it?" I looked up at him.
"Why are you friends with Potter?"
"Oh my gosh, this again?" I closed the book.
"I'm truly just interested. He's a slimy git if you ask me."
"He's not, and at least Harry actually talks to me, unlike you."
"Yea, ok, so I'll start talking to you more, happy?" He changed to a stern voice.
"No because the only reason why you're doing it is because-" I started to stand up.
"What? Because what?!"
"Piss off, Draco." I sneered then left.
I walked out of the manor then went to the Weasleys house.
When I got there everyone was awake except Harry and Ron. "Oh, dear!" Mrs. Weasley hugged me, "It's so nice to see you."
"You too, Mrs. Weasley." I smiled.
I greeted everyone else then went upstairs with Hermione to wake up Harry and Ron.
After we did that we took a port key to the World Cup. As we were walking I saw Draco and my Father.
"Oh bloody hell." I whispered.
"I reckon he didn't know that you were coming with us, right?" Harry said to me.
"Yea..." I looked at Draco and he looked at me.
He motioned for me to go by him, but I turned away.
"Parvati, come now. We have seats with the minister." he looked stern and I knew that I couldn't argue with him.
"Parvati, don't go with him." Hermione whispered.
"I don't really have a choice." I said quietly before going with my father and Draco.
"I told you not to sneak off. Father was furious." Draco told me.
"Don't act like you care, you don't care for anybody."
"Yea well you're not just anybody you're my bloody sister." he softened up his face and put his arm around me, "now cheer up, it's the quidditch World Cup. This is where we have fun."
I looked around and saw my Father looking the other way.
"Come on, let's go over here." I pointed to a different path.
We went down to the concession stands and got some drinks. "Let's go with the Weasley's"
"No way, Father would kill both of-"
"If both of us are missing then it's like he didn't want us to come. Besides, do you really want to hear the minister and Father blab on about ministry stuff. Plus the view from the ministers box sucks."
"Ok, fine." he rolled his eyes.
"Ok but first we need to paint our faces." I pulled out face paint and Team Ireland hats and scarfs. I put a hat on Draco's head.
"You're serious right now?" he laughed a little bit.
"Yes! Of course! It's like you said," I put a hat on myself, "we need to have fun."
I put face paint on Draco and I. (It was like Fred and George's)
We went by the Weasley's and sat down, both them and Draco looked uncomfortable. I sat next to Harry, and Draco sat next to me.
"What happened to sitting with your Father?" Harry asked me.
"Well, I didn't feel like it." I put one arm around Harry and the other around Draco.
Draco looked at my arm around Harry then looked at me like I was crazy.
"It's Victor Krum!" Ron exclaimed.
Ireland scored and everyone stood to their feet and cheered except for Ron.
"Ron what's with the crazy outfit?" I began, he was the only one with Bulgaria Fan gear, "Everyone knows Ireland is going to win!"
"That's rubbish!" He yelled back with a smile.
After the match Draco went back with my Father, I didn't dare to since he would probably...I don't even want to talk about it. But my mother gave me money for all my new school supplies so I should be fine.
The Great Hall
Dumbledore gave a speech about the goblet of fire. "Whoever enters their name in that must be barking mad." I whispered to Ron.
"Yea, no kidding." he stated at the goblet in awe.
We all started walking to our common room when Crabbe and Goyle came up to me. "Draco's been looking for you." Goyle stated.
"Well where is he?" I asked them.
"He went the other way looking for you." Crabbe pointed behind him.
"Oh, ok." I turned to the trio, "I'll be right back."
"Parvati, it's almost curfew. You only have five minutes-" Hermione began.
"I'll be fine." I smiled then went to find Draco.
When I did we sat down in an empty, dark corridor. "What did you need me for?" I asked.
He looked around to make sure no one was around, then he looked me straight in the eye, "Are you dating bloody Potter?!"
"Oh my gosh, no!"
"Then why are you always next to him?!"
"Because he's my best friend you lunatic! Should I suspect that you're dating Goyle just because he's your best friend?!"
"Psh, yea right! Goyle isn't close to being my friend. He's a stupid little git, he is." He rolled his eyes.
"Well he's the one of the few friends you have. You should be nicer." I scoffed.
"I have loads of friends." He crossed his arms and leaned against the corridor wall, "Well, you're my friend, right?"
"I'm your sister-"
"But you're still my friend."
"Friends are supposed to hang around each other. And judging how you've mostly ignored me these past three years, we aren't friends."
"Didn't I tell you that I was trying to change that? But it's a bit hard when we aren't in the same house." He made a dramatic face.
"Ok fine, Harry and I planned to go to Hogsmead-"
"Ughhh why Potter?!" Draco complained.
"I already told you he's my best friend!"
"Well I can be you're best friend, that's how twins are supposed to be! Look at the Weasley twins!"
"So you're paying attention to the Weasleys now?" I raised my eyebrows.
"Well just them, they're to only funny ones out of the bunch. You'd think there'd be more considering how many of them there are." he laughed.
"Well are you coming or not?"
"Yes, fine. But I'm bringing Blaise."
"Fine." I started walking away.
That morning I started getting ready for Hogsmead.
