the little things

"No", Camila groaned and turned in bed pulling the covers over her head.

Tarzan placed his paws on Camila's chest and tried to removed the covers with his teeth and nose.

"No, Tar", Camila giggled again but Tarzan was big and was crushing her so she had to get out of there for some air.

"Hey boy, what are you doing?", Shawn said sleepily, seeing his girlfriend and his puppy fighting in bed.

The puppy's tale wiggled and his ear shook when he looked up at Shawn, forgetting about  Camila and jumping on top of him.

"Oh, no", Shawn chuckled blocking his advances so Tarzan wouldn't bit his face.

"It's too early", Camila fake complained watching them fight next to her.

"Are you hungry buddy?", Shawn asked him and grabbed his mouth playfully so he would stop trying to bite him.

Camila sat up on the bed, giving up on sleep. Shawn and Tarzan had just joined her in New York and Tar was still trying to get used to the new place and city noises. He felt overstimulated and confused so he needed all the attention he could get.

"You made her mad", Shawn scolded Tarzan who was looking at Camila now.

"I'm not mad", Camila said and petted Tarzan's head. "You just owe me a nap".

"How are you, baby?", Shawn leaned to her to kiss her good morning.

"I'm good", she replied as she snuggled against him, enjoying having him close again. "How are you?"

"I missed waking up with you", he sighed and she melted inside.

Camila laid down in bed again, too happy to have Shawn by her side to be apart any other second. She rested her face on his chest and hooked a leg over his lap. Shawn wrapped her in his arms and kissed the top of her head.

"I missed you too, both of you", she added looking at Tarzan who had calmed down and was now resting by her side.

"He missed you a lot too. I think he was looking for you at my parents' basement", Shawn said.

"Oh my baby boy. You're so cute", Camila swooned and stretched her arm to run her fingers through the dog's fur.

"What are we doing today?", Shawn asked her.

"I have a meeting with Scott and Mike this afternoon but other than that, today is an easy day", she told him. "What about you?"

"I don't have much to do, just a couple of calls".

"Should we get up or just lay in bed then?", she looked up at him.

"Let's stay here for a bit", he wrapped her tighter in his arms, missing the feeling of her body against his.

He smelled delicious and she breathed enjoying his perfume and body wash. He had a subtle stubble growing around his jaw and she absolutely adored it. It made him look more mature. She let go of Tarzan to now caress her boyfriend, tracing the lines and curves on his chest and neck. Shawn closed his eyes, taking in her soft touches.

"I missed you so much", he moaned softly and moved on of his hand up and down her back, stopping right above the curve of her butt.

"We don't do well apart anymore", she giggled. She also had missed him like crazy.

"Not at all. I mean, I could go several days without seeing you, but I really don't want to go through that and I wouldn't enjoy it one bit", he stated.

"I know. It's inevitable sometimes, but it sucks", she agreed.

"Let's try to stay together as much as we can", Shawn asked looking down at her and kissing her lips.
