10. A Strange Feeling

"Alright," Atlas said, resting his hand on Hadean's shoulder. "After we get off the train the gatekeeper, Hagrid, is gonna call you over, yeah? He's very big, you won't miss him." Atlas continued as they continued down the train's hallway, their trunks dragging behind them.

"Atlas, you're with us." A girl came up behind them, wrapping her arm around his shoulder, causing him to jump. Hadean looked over to the girl, quickly recognizing her as one of the people in the compartment with them, as the other girls they shared with came up next to them. "Jeez, Mona, you scared me."

Mona laughed, ruffling his hair as she looked over to Ella, who was now on the other side of Hadean. They quickly got to the exit of the train, all jumping out with their things. Hadean watched as Ella walked over to Mona, who was standing slightly behind Atlas. Atlas was looking around, taking in the sight as the wind softly blew his blonde hair around. Mona was reading a piece of paper when she noticed Ella come up and stand next to her. She looked up at Ella fondly, before leaning into her side and grabbing her hand, entwining their fingers. Hadean quickly blushed and looked away, feeling like he interrupted something.

Breaking him from his thoughts was the last girl in the compartment with them, who was approaching him. She smiled at him softly. "You're a first-year too, yeah?" She asked while looking over at Ella and Mona and then back over at him. Hadean nodded quickly, still feeling quite nervous about Hogwarts. "Good. I'm Wally, by the way. Wanna ride in the boat with me?" She asked, grey eyes hopeful.

"Sure," he replied, just as a loud "First years o'er here! First years o'er her!" came from across the platform. Ella looked up toward where the voice came from then over at Wally. "Alright, Wally," she said, moving away from Mona. Hadean couldn't help but notice the disappointed look on Mona's face. "So this is where we part. Me, Mona, and Atlas are gonna get on a carriage, yeah? You can get on a boat with those friends of yours from the other compartment and Hadean. Sounds good?" Ella said, searching Wally's face for an answer. Wally just nodded and Ella smiled brightly, her short hair flowing in the wind as she pulled the younger girl into a hug. "I'll see you in the dining hall, yeah? Oh, and tell Alphie I said hi when you see him. The little bugger didn't feel like saying hi on the train." Wally smiled brightly and nodded, watching as she walked over to where Mona and Atlas were, wrapping her arm around Mona and leaning her head on her shoulder. Atlas gave a small wave and the three of them started walking towards the carriages.

Wally sighed, then walked over to where Hadean was watching, a smile on her face. "Are you guys related or something?" He asked, looking back to where Ella was standing.

Wally nodded."She's my cousin. Step-cousin?" She said, eyebrows furrowing in question.

"Is that why you came to the compartment halfway through the train ride? With that other girl?" He questioned as they made their way through the crowd, following the large man's calls.

"Yeah. Mia, the girl I was with, is my cousin and Ella's step-sister. I promised that I'd try and see them both on the train so me and Mia met up at my compartment so that she could see my brother, Alphie, and then I could go see Ella." She explained, Hadean giving a small "ohh" as if he understood when in reality he had no clue what she was talking about.

The two of them kept walking, talking about quidditch until they made it to the docks. Hadean and Wally's eyes both grew wide as they came up next to a very tall man, probably not much older than 20, who was double Wally's height. "Whoa," they both said together, stopping in their place.

However, this was quickly interrupted by someone running straight into Hadean. Hadean lost his balance, tumbling back but right falling backward he felt someone grab his forearm, holding him up. Hadean opened his eyes to see a pair of grey eyes looking into his brown ones. The other boy blushed slightly. "Oops?" He said softly, laughing awkwardly. Hadean's breath caught in his throat as there was a strange feeling in his stomach. "Hi," he said breathily as the other boy started pulling him up. The two stayed looking into each other's eyes for a moment more before Wally broke the silence. "Alphie! Gods, watch where you're going!" She said, crossing her arms. Alphie quickly shook out of it, looking over at Wally.

He rolled his eyes, about to make a snarky remark when someone laughing caught his attention. He scanned over the crowd before finding Celeste and Donna walking over to them, Donna laughing at something Celeste said. "There you are!" Celeste called out, grabbing Donna's hand and pulling her over to him. Alphie's face lit up as he started walking to meet them in the middle. "Atria's over there talking to that girl that came to our compartment earlier. Mia, was it?" She said, looking over to Donna who smiled and muttered a "yes," to her before they both looked up to Alphie.

Hadean stood watching the exchange between the three, not paying attention to Wally, who was talking to him. He noticed how the french girl, who he thought was called 'Celeste', had such green eyes that they were almost inhuman, practically glowing before they faded into a bright shade of blue that was, again, almost inhuman. Her vibrant purple hair flowed softly in the wind behind her. He noticed that Donna had this sandy shade of blonde hair that was in two shoddy french plaits, probably something that one of the girls did on the train ride over and her eyes were a light green, with brown towards the center.

His thoughts were quickly broken and Wally grabbed his arm, pulling him along with her.

"Huh?" was all he let out, confused by what was going on.

Wally laughed. "We're getting on the boats now. Do you mind if we share it with my brother and his friends-" she started but was quickly cut off by a "wait!" coming through the crowd. After a few moments, a girl with curly black hair and grey eyes with a hint of green came waving through. "Sorry I'm late, I was talking to Mia." She said, out of breath. Celeste laughed and walked over to her, wrapping her arm around her shoulder. "You're fine. Now c'mon, let's get on a boat." She said as the six of them made their way towards a boat, Alphie chased Donna around as Atria was talking to Wally. Celeste moved away from Atria, Atria looking up curiously before shrugging and turning back to Wally.

"Hey," she whispered softly to Hadean. "Are you ok? You look like you're bothered by something," she trailed off.

Hadean just shook his head and forced a smile, pushing down the weird feeling he got in his stomach every time he thought about his interaction with Alphie.
