The next evening, Rick and Michonne are hosting dinner at their place for the family. The atmosphere is jovial as everyone seems to be chomping at the bit to talk about what happened last night at the party. It seems each of them, except Rick and Michonne, is waiting on the other to broach the subject.
"So, how about Deana's party last night? Some real fireworks flying, huh?" Abraham laughs as Rosita taps his arm as if she is shocked he would even bring it up.
Rick looks to the ceiling as he knew he wouldn't be able to avoid this for long. "Alright, everybody get it out. Say what you want, so we can all get back to our dinner."
Michonne gives him a look that asks why give them the leeway.
"I just gotta say it Rick. That's how you take charge. Let her know what the deal is. Stake your claim," Abraham boasts.
"I thought it was romantic. I mean, we knew you guys were sweet on each other. I just don't know why it took so long," Beth contributes.
Carl peeks over at his dad and Michonne. "Well, it kinda scared me. I've never heard my dad yell at Michonne like that."
Carol pats Carl on his hand. "It won't happen again. He was just a tad bit tipsy last night." She demonstrates by pretending she's holding a cup and tossing the contents back.
Carl laughs. "Then the way Michonne looked at him."
"You guys are talking about us like we're not here," Michonne interjects.
"Well, that must have been some make up session. We didn't see y'all until noon today," Bob adds.
"Dad said they were talking," Carl says.
"That's right, son. We talked things over and everything's just fine now." Rick eyes Bob who makes an "oops" face.
"Can we please talk about something else now?" Michonne suggests.
An hour later, the women are in the kitchen under the pretense of cleaning up, but they really want to grill Michonne about her night with Rick. The men are slightly out of earshot in the living room.
"Somebody's got a little sparkle in her eyes. I'd say the loving was good and satisfying," Maggie implies.
Beth gasps and swats at Maggie. "You shouldn't talk like that about Rick."
"That's a compliment, Beth," Maggie informs.
"Yeah, but you just shouldn't say that about him," Beth reiterates.
"Thanks, Beth. You're right, but I am extremely satisfied," Michonne laughs as the others squeal and join her.
"You gonna give us some details?" Sasha asks.
Michonne shakes her head. "Some things you just gotta keep to yourself."
Tara scoffs. "Yeah, but you could tell from that display last night that the passion is strong."
Meanwhile, the guys are trying their best to get some intimate details out of Rick, but he won't budge. One because Michonne would kill him and two because Carl is within earshot.
