"Jack, Y/N! Over here!" "Yes beautiful! Now stand together." "Okay one more separate, thank you!" Different photographers said from different places. Jack and I were currently on the red carpet of the 2020 MTV VMAs. I couldn't believe it, I am so proud of him. He was nominated for Song of the Summer and even did a special performance for Whats Poppin! We continued posing for pictures and slowly started moving down the carpet.
"This is so exciting babe" I whispered to Jack. He smiled to me and gave me a quick peck (which caused a little bit of a awww type of reaction). This was my first major event with Jack. Im a little nervous but Jack assured me it would go smooth. As we were getting to the end of the carpet an interviewer came up to us. "Do you guys have time for a quick interview?" the lady asked. "Of Course" Jack and I said in unison.
"I'm here at the 2020 MTV VMAs with Jack Harlow and Y/N L/N!" the interviewer said. "Hello" Jack and I said with a big smile. "How are y'all doing this evening?" the lady asked. "I'm good, very happy to be here" Jack said. "I'm good as well, very excited! This is my first major event and i'm just so grateful i could be here supporting my favorite person" I replied and looked at Jack with a grin. "Aww, y'all are the cutest! Are you guys excited to see anyone tonight?" "Well you know i'm definitely excited to see The Weeknd and Doja, i love them!" I responded. "Yeah, I agree." Jack added. "I have one more thing before I let y'all go. The both of you look absolutely amazing! Definitely the best dressed here tonight!" "Thank you very much, I appreciate that" Jack said putting his hand around my waist. I nodded my head in agreement. "I'm gonna let you guys go now, thank you and have fun." "Thank you!" Jack and I replied as we walked away. We finally made to the end of the carpet and made our way inside.
An hour of award giving and performances had gone by and it was finally time for the award Jack was nominated for. I'm not sure about Jack but I was pretty nervous for him. He truly deserved it. "And the Song of the Summer goes to... WHATS POPPIN JACK HARLOW!". As soon as the presenter said "whats" I jumped out of my seat and started clapping. Jack had the biggest smile I'd ever seen. He got out of his seat and gave me a hug and a pretty long kiss. He walked his way up to the stage and began his speech.
"Wow. I'm speechless right now" he said smiling. "First I wanna thank the fans. Without y'all none of this would be possible. I wanna thank my record label, my friends, and everyone who helps me do what I do. And finally but definitely not least, my beautiful fiancé Y/N. Ever since high school she has supported my career and I couldn't be more grateful for her. I love you baby. Thank you!" As he walk off stage and began to tear up. I was so so proud of him and touched by his sweet words. It made me think how special I was to have him in my life.
