As I walk in the jet hangar, I hear Bucky and Sam already bickering like they always do. But I have issues with both of them right now, so I'm busting up their little spat.
"Okay, listen up," I say, walking in, causing them to snap their heads to me.
"Briiii, hey," Sam says with a smile.
"Don't heyyy Bri me. You have lots of explaining to do," I say, setting my bag down.
Bucky looks at me and back to Sam, "Yeah, you shouldn't have given up the shield."
I laugh and point a finger at him, "You have explaining to do, too."
He pinches his eyebrows together, "What the hell did I do?"
"You told your little friend, Yori, that we went on a date? What could have possibly made you think it was a date?!" I exclaim. Bucky's eyes grow wide, but he starts to explain himself when Sam interrupts.
"Wait, wait, wait... You two went on a date? HA!" he laughs, "This is much better drama than the shit you're coming at me for."
"SHUT UP SAM!" we both snap at the same time.
He continues to laugh and of course makes another witty comment, "Speaking in sync already? Next, you're gonna be finishing each other's sentences."
"Okay, I'm not talking about this in front of you anymore, Sam. But you still have A LOT to explain," I say, looking at Bucky, our eyes locking for a moment. Frustration in my own, he rolls his eyes and turns away. I turn back to Sam, "Back to what he said, he's right. You shouldn't have given up the shield."
He starts to walk away, but of course we follow him.
"It was wrong," Bucky says.
"I'm working right now. I don't need all this outrage," Sam says.
"So you didn't know that was gonna happen?" I question.
"Of course not! You think it didn't break my heart to see them march him out there and call him the new Captain America?" Sam says defensively.
My heart aches thinking about it. "This isn't what Steve wanted," Bucky says, "You had no right to give it up."
"Listen, here's what's not gonna happen. You're not gonna show up here in your overextended life and tell me about my rights," Sam says, pointing a finger at Bucky. "It's over. I have bigger things to deal with."
"Oh really? Like what? Bird-watching?" I snap, causing Bucky to chuckle at my Falcon joke. Sam gives me a stern look. "What could be bigger than this, Sam?"
Sam pulls his phone out showing us a picture of a man with a mask that has a handprint on it. "This guy. He's connected to rebel organizations all over East and Central Europe, and he's... strong. Too strong. He's been connected to this online group called the Flag Smashers."
Too strong? Like super soldier strong?
"Now, Red Wing traced him to a building somewhere outside of Munich, so that's where I'm going," Sam finishes, walking away.
"I don't trust Red Wing," Bucky says.
Sam stops again, "You don't have to trust Red Wing. But I'm gonna go see if he's right... Cause I have a feeling this guy might be a part of the big three."
"What big three?" me and Bucky say in unison again, causing us to look at each other. My cheeks heat up in embarrassment, but I roll my eyes and look back to Sam as he speaks up again.
"Androids, aliens, and wizards," he clarifies.
I roll my eyes, "That's not a thing."
"Yes it is," Sam argues.
