Lev's POV:
Sunday, 11:17pm.

It had been a few hours after I last texted Yaku-san. I couldn't sleep and so I decided to take a relaxing bubble bath...

I stretched my legs out in the spaciousness of my bathtub, sinking my body deeper into the clear, warm water that had mountains of bubbles piling on its surface.

After reading Nekoma's group chat where we talked about upcoming practices or just casual checking up on the members, we received news from our coach Nekomata that we'd be having a practice match tomorrow against the powerhouse school- Fukurodani Academy. Not gonna lie, I was extremely nervous about it, and so here I am, trying to calm myself down in a bubble bath.

I let out a deep sigh, tilting my head back to soak more of my hair in the water. I hope my hard work pays off... I thought. Occasionally, I would practice some sets at home, against a wall or lying on my bed facing up. I was working to get used to such motions in volleyball and also have a better feel and grip of the ball in my hands.

Picking up one of the many little rubber ducks in the bath, I played with it a little between my fingers, slightly squeezing its body for it to let out a squeak~ sound. I chuckled, turning over a little to my side in the bath as I gathered it with its other friends, and holding them together in my arms, I pressed them close to my chest- and they all let out a resounding squeeeeakk! I laughed, doing it again- the loud noise echoed in the walls of the bathroom, effectively drowning out my worries.

"LEVVVVV HAIBA!" I heard my sister yell from her room. Oh no. I quickly tried to silence the duckies, but they only made more sound as I accidentally pressed against them further. OH NO.

I heard angry footsteps running along the corridor to where I was, and I quickly gathered a mountain of bubbles to cover my body under the water. Please, don't kill me, I was only trying to take a bath- I cried internally.

A loud kick to the door made my heart jump. I yelled, shutting my eyes as the door vibrated a little from the impact. "GO. TO. SLEEP." Her words were laced each with a powerful kick to the poor door once more, before I heard her stalking away back to her room. Her door slammed shut behind her.

Alisa, my dear sister, I love you but honestly you scare the crap out of me at times. I got up from the tub, wrapping a towel around my body as I drained out the water and collected all my rubber ducks, rinsing them under clean water then placing them carefully in a zipped bag under the bathroom sink.

I ran over to my room, a towel hung over my shoulders as I swiftly put on my sleeping clothes. I leaned back on the headrest of my bed for a moment, looking at the night sky outside my window as my phone lighted up with a slight tap.

Research before the match. Let's see if I can get some insight on Fukurōdani's players. Swiping along Google, I picked up some information on the team.

"The boys' volleyball team is currently a top four team in Tokyo and the ace of the team, Bokuto, is one of the top five aces in the nation." I read, curious thoughts starting to form in my mind. Resting my phone against my thighs, I used my towel to quickly ruffle and dry my damp hair, patting it in place. My eyes glanced up to the top of my phone screen. 11.52pm. I should really get some sleep now. I have to have good rest to be alert on the court tomorrow.

Switching off my phone, I relaxed my body on my bed, the weight on my eyelids growing heavier as I soon shut my eyes. I wonder if I'll get to see Yaku-san on the way to school tomorrow morning... I smiled, thinking about the short caramel-haired boy. I want to make him proud of me on the court tomorrow.

A/N: I saw headcannons online on Lev, one of them being that he takes bubble baths with rubber ducks lmao so I got inspiration from that and wrote this cute and light chapter! get ready for the epic match tomorrow guys- I'm working on adding more matches in the future too because I don't want to take away that volleyball aspect from the boys too much :)
