Slice of Life [Short Story]

This is a 3-part short story that I wrote for a contest that needed to include a slice of chocolate cake. Tried to take an original approach with it. Let me know what you think!

I need feedback. 

Keep in mind, in the contest, I was only allowed up to 2000 words. This story is 1999 words. If this becomes popular by some stretch of the imagination, I will probably come back and lengthen it up a bit, but only if the readers want it.
