Chapter One - Now

"Stefania, we're gonna be late". Danielle said as she was on the living room  trying to find the car keys."I'm here". Stefania replied as she was running downstairs."Where are the car keys?" the blonde asked a little impatient." "They're in the car" Stefania answered. "Why
would you leave the keys in the car?"“Because it's easier" the brunette replied. "Alright let's go.Are you ready?"Danielle asked her gorgeous wife.Stefania walked towards her lover and put her arms around her shoulder and said "Yes , so ready!".

  Danielle and Stefania got into the car and made their way to the foster care where they were about to foster, and in the future possibly adopt two children. Noah was 3 years old and Maddison was 6 months old , they were siblings and their mother unfortunately died giving birth to Madison.The kid's mom was a single parent and didn't have any known relatives so the kids were taken to the foster system to wait for a family.

 The two women had signed up to be foster parents 4 months ago and they didn't expect to get called so soon, and neither to be fostering siblings.But the moment they knew they started decorating the second bedroom.

 They had already met the kids but this time was different, this time they were gonna take them home and be their parents.

  Stefania was driving while Danielle was in the backseat with the kids. “Is everything okay back there?” the brunette asked. “Yeah, Maddie is asleep and Noah is … just quiet” Danielle was nervous and worried about Noah , since he was older she was worried that it would take a while for him to warm up to them , she also wondered if he knew what was going on and why his biological mom isn’t with him anymore.She was so distracted in her thoughts that she only realized that they arrived home when Stefania opened the car door.”Let’s get inside Noah” Stefania smiled while helping him get out of the car. Danielle grabbed the baby seat and followed them. As soon as they opened the front door Jeff ran and jumped on them, that moviment scared Noah, so Stefania kneeled down and said “ It's alright , she's not gonna hurt you, her name’s Jeff”. The kid still looked a bit scared. “You can pet her if you want” Stefania  petted Jeff herself showing him how.The boy slowly did the same and smiled.Danielle was just standing there watching their interaction until Madison started crying. “I think she’s hungry” She said to Stefania. “Do you want me to feed her?” The brunette asked. “No , I got it” the blonde responded while walking towards the kitchen.

 Maddie was still in the baby seat so she just put her on the kitchen island. "Hey Maddie it’s okay , I’m gonna make you a bottle. I just have to find the formula…. Oh here it is” Danielle made the bottle and picked up the baby to feed her. “ Hey, I know this can be scary but you have a family now, I’m your mommy and you have another mommy who is so great and beautiful and talented oh you will love her trust me. And we will always love you , okay?” 

 Hour had passed and it was time for the kids to sleep. They put Maddie in the crib and took Noah to his bed but he didn’t want to be away from his sister so the couple  let them sleep in the same room tonight. Danielle was still standing in the door frame of the kids room when Stefania wrapped her arms around her waist and kissed her shoulder. “Let’s go to bed honey”. “I can’t , I’m scared” the blonde said. “ Scared of what ?” the brunette asked. Danielle didn’t reply, so Stefania turned her around, looked into her eyes and said “ Babe, you don’t have to be scared nothing bad will happen , this is all we ever wanted: two beautiful and healthy kids... Come on let’s go to bed “Yeah , you’re right” Danielle said. “I’m always right” Stefania smiled. Danielle rolled her eyes and went to bed with her wife.
