Infinite While It Lasts

Chapter Three - Now

"Good morning" Stefania said kissing her wife on her forehead. "Hum , it's too early, 5 more minutes" the blonde rolled to the other side. "C'mon babe , we have to get ready. Today is Noah first day at pre-school."

It had been almost a week since they fostered the kids and everything was great. Noah was still kind of quiet but it turns out he really likes Jeff and he was starting to warm up to Stefania. Which did bothered Danielle a little 'cause everything she did to try to get closer to him only seemed to push him away, but she figured it would take some time until he was completely comfortable in his new home.

Maddie was a great baby except when it was time to sleep , she would wake up crying every night  at least three times. They would take turns on who was gonna go to her room, but it was harder on Danielle since Maddie would only really calm down when she would see her.

"Okay , I'm gonna take a shower" Stefania said getting up from the bed. She got ready and went back to their bedroom, Danielle wasn't on the bed. "Bambina?". The brunette heard some noises coming from the kitchen so she decided to go downstairs. 

She stopped when she got to the bottom of the stairs, where she was able to see the kitchen. Danielle was cooking while Noah played with Jeff, and Maddie was in her seat. She took a moment to admire that image , a family, her family. That was everything she ever wanted, Stefania never thought she would be so lucky to find someone like Danielle, neither that they would build a family together.  Stefania's moment of thought was interrupted by Danielle screaming that the breakfast was ready.

"It's smells good in here" Stefania wrapped her arms around her wife's waist and kissed her neck. "Well of course it does , I'm cooking" Danielle laughed. The brunette kept kissing Danielle's neck. "Hey stop that , go call Noah" Danielle said trying to get away from the grip her wife had on her, not the she wasn't liking but they needed to hurry or they would be late. "Okay... Noah let's go wash our hands before we eat."

They were all sitting at the table, Stefania feeding Maddie while Danielle helped Noah. "Today is your first day at school, are you excited Noah?" Danielle asked the boy. "I don't wanna go" the boy complained. "Well, i know it might seen a little boring, but once you get there you'll love it , you will make friends and have a lot of fun".

They finished breakfast and got in the car to go to school. They kids were in the backseat both in their own baby seat. Stefania was driving with her hand rested on Danielle's thigh."How is work?". Danielle asked Stefania. 

Station 19 had ended on season 5 about 8 months ago, they both wanted to take some time from acting to focus on building a family. But Stefania had booked a role in a movie, Danielle encouraged her to wife to do it 'cause she knew how good this would be for her career.

"It's great, Peter is really fun to work with". Stefania said while making a turn and taking her hand away from Danielle's leg. "Uhum" Danielle said in a angry tone."What do you mean by that?" the brunette asked. "Nothing, I just don't like him". Danielle replied looking at the backseat to see the kids. "Are you jeoulous?" Stefania asked smiling. "No, I just don't like that he plays your husband and you guys have to kiss on scene". The blonde said taking  her wife's hand back into her leg. "You know that kissing other people is part of our jobs, right?". Stefania ran her hand up and down Danielle's leg. "I do, I just  liked it better when I was the other people you were kissing".

"Alright, we're here" Stefania said parking the car. They both unfastened their seatbelts and got out of the car to get the kids. Stefania helped Noah out and grabbed his packback and Danielle picked up Maddie. They walked to the school where Ms. Willians was standing, she was gonna be Noah teacher, and the couple had met her a week ago when they visited the school. "Good morning Ms. Spampinato and Ms. Savre" the teacher said to the couple. "Good Morning Ms. Willians" they both replied. "This is Noah" Stefania said moving from the way since the boy was standing behind her. "Nice to meet you Noah, I'm your new teacher Ms. Willians". The little boy just nodded as he was still a little bit shy. "Well, we have to get going" Stefania kneel down to talk to the boy. "Have fun today, love you" she hugged him and got back up to hold Maddie so Danielle could say goodbye to their son. "Bye honey, I love you" Danielle hugged her son.

They were walking back to the car, Stefania holding Maddie  and Danielle walking beside them. Stefania couldn't stop looking back at the school. "He is gonna be fine" Danielle soothed Stefania. "I know, I'm just a little worried he won't fit in, he's is kinda of shy and the other kids might not be very welcoming". The brunette opened the car and put Maddie back in her car seat. "Kids aren't as mean as they used to be, also this school seems very serious about inclusion". Danielle said as she got in the driver's seat. "Yeah, you're right." The brunette agreed with her wife.

"Okay, we're here, I'll pick you up later then". Danielle said after parking the car at the set Stefania was working on. "Yeah, bye babe love you" Stefania said leaning in to kiss Danielle. "Love you too" Danielle said connecting their lips.

Stefania stepped out of the car and opened the back seat door to say goodbye to their daughter. "Bye Maddie, mommy loves you". Stefania kissed the baby's forehead. Maddie just giggled. Stefania closed the door and walked towards the set, leaving Danielle and Maddie alone.

"So it's just you and me Maddie" Danielle said looking at the review mirror. "I was thinking maybe we could go to the park for a walk, what do you say?". Since the baby couldn't respond the blonde just kept talking. "Well , I'll take that as a yes".

...

"This is a great view, right Maddie?". It was a beautiful day, sunny and bright , the sky blue as it could be. They were walking on the park for a awhile now and Danielle decided to stop and sit on a bench. The bench was in a little hill so they had the view of the whole park, people running or playing sports and of course the sight of the nature. Danielle put the stroller in front of her and started talking to the baby."Once you're older you'll be able to play sports, if you want to of course. I used to play soccer and not to brag but I was really good."

Danielle kept talking to the baby looking in her eyes, Maddie had blue eyes just like her, but Noah had brown eyes, she wondered if they had different dads. All she knew about the kids biological parents was that their mother was an immigrant and unfortunately died giving birth to Maddie. Danielle looked at her watch and realized it was time to go back home, she had to feed Maddie and make lunch for herself. Danielle got up from the bench, grabbed the handles of the stroller and starting walking  back to the parking lot.
