Espionage - Act Five
I slowly opened my eyes and was met with the peaceful sight of Adrien's sleeping face.
A smile formed on my face as I watched him for a moment, entranced by how peaceful he looked before I decided to move closer to him and lean my head on his chest. I heard him hum contentedly for a while before I felt his arms wrap themselves around my waist.
"Good morning," Adrien muttered before he looked down at me with a sleepy smile.
"Good morning," I smiled back as I looked up at him. "I'm sorry if I woke you up."
"No, no, it's alright." He chuckled as he moved, he laid on his side and propped his elbow up so he could lean his head on his hand.
"I miss mornings like these." I sighed contentedly. "I miss waking up to find you next to me."
"Me too, I miss holding onto you until we have to let go." Adrien leaned over to kiss me. "And, believe me, I don't ever want to let go."
"But I have to go and prepare breakfast," I chuckled when we parted. "what would you like?"
"Do you happen to be on the menu?" He joked and I giggled.
"Sorry, no. Well, at least not yet." I said as I got ready to get up but I was pulled back to the bed by a pair of strong arms.
"Can we stay like this for a while?" Adrien whispered in my ear. "Just for a little while?"
"Ok then, just for a little while." I nodded. "Then we have breakfast."
"Deal."
So we laid there in bed, just enjoying each other's company. Our hands trailed over our bodies but there was no objective, it was just there—hovering over our skin absentmindedly and noticing marks we never saw before, just exploring and getting to know each other. Few words were spoken as our mere presence spoke volumes, we were happy with each other and nothing will change that.
"I love you." Adrien cupped my face and we leaned in for a soft kiss.
"I love you too."
