~(Y/n) Pov~

It was fairly early in the morning and I had just finished getting ready for work. Honestly, I didn't want to go since a lot of monsters have been running around, but gotta have money to survive in this world... I picked Pecan up into my arms, a small mewl as her response before I left the apartment. I was glad Saitama told me I could leave her with him while I was at the manga shop, it made me worry less that she would get into something or get hurt.

"Hey Sai, I'm coming in!" I warned before walking into his apartment. I could see Genos cleaning some dishes, Saitama sitting on the floor with a book in his hand. Pecan jumped out of my arms, bouncing over to him. He chuckled as he let the small cat climb up into his lap with a content purr.

"Good morning, (Y/n)-san," I heard Genos chime as he dried the dishes with his hands before putting them up. "As I was saying, Master. If you reach Class C Rank One, you could become a B rank. Or stay at Rank One," he informed the bald man. I seemed to have walked into a hero talk; not my forte.

"The current Class C Rank One hero hasn't moved up in over half a year. What's worse is that that hero is-" Genos was cut off from his phone ringing. He excused himself as he answered his phone and walking out into the hallway.

"Thanks again for keeping Pecan, Sai," I looked over to him as I spoke, a small smile on my face. He looked up at me, returning the smile.

"Of course, I don't mind helping ya, (Y/n)." He gave a small smile before Pecan stole his attention with a cute meow. My phone made a 'beep' sound from my pocket, grabbing it out of my pocket I see it's my boss. 'Be careful coming to work,' was all it said. No context, no meaning behind why he would say that out of the blue....

       "Hey Sai, could you may-"

"Do you remember that octopus monster saying anything about the Sea Folk?" Genos asked Saitama as he walked back into the room. I looked over in his direction with a nod although he wasn't directing the question to me, a worried expression now resting on my face.

"He was saying something like that before I kicked his eye," I told him before pointing to my own eye. He gave me a nod before looking to Sai.

"Well, some monsters are claiming to also be part of the sea folk and are in City J, a Class A hero is having trouble dealing with them on his own," Genos explained as Sai turned the tv onto the news to show exactly what Genos was talking about. The hero known as Stinger was on the screen and looked pretty beat up. 'So that's why he told me to be careful... Asshole coulda just given me the day off.' I told myself as I felt my nerves getting the best of me, sitting down next to where Sai was currently with Pecan blissfully in his lap, enjoying the attention and not understanding the issue that was currently going on

"Guess we should get going then huh?" Sai looked all serious he spoke before getting up and changing in to his hero outfit in his bathroom. When he came back out he looked at me then to my work uniform. "I'll drop you off at work first though so I know you get there alright," he gave me a small smile of reassurance. I sighed out of relief, before looking to Pecan who was now laying on the futon he had.

"Guess she's gonna be left alone after all.." I mumbled before getting off the floor. "Cmon, let's hurry so you aren't late to the scene again.." I joked before following the boys out of the apartment.

"You sure you're gonna be okay here?" Sai asked me as he stood in front of the store's doors with me. I nodded with a small smile.

"I'll be fine, it's in a different city so I'll still be here when you help out Genos, just be careful alright?" I told him, the worry rising in my chest once again despite knowing he was probably going to come back without a scratch.

"I will, call me if you need anything!" He told me as he was now running off to go find Genos. With a small sigh, I walked into the store once the man was out of my line of sight. The bell chimed signaling my arrival, not a soul in sight. Jacob was most likely in his office. 'No one is going to be going around with the monster threat going on right now...' I thought to myself as I absentmindedly checked the shelves and stocking whatever wasn't full. I had turned the little tv that stayed on the counter on the news so I could keep an eye on Sai, though he didn't need it. He was my friend and I was worried so why wouldn't I at least keep tabs?

Currently, there was a person with prison attire save for a heart shirtless sweater on over the stripped uniform. He was speaking but the cameras couldn't pick it up, but there was a scrawny man next to him that had marking on his face. There was also a huge fish monster that looked to have a crown on and hearts on his chest, and a very creepy exterior. The two went into a brawl as the prisoner's sweater was ripped from him flexing too hard. I sighed as I kept my gaze away from the fight, seeing nothing of the bald friend I was currently worried about.

"Oh, you still came in," I heard Jacob mutter as he walked out of his office. I gave a small huff before looking at him.

"You told me to be careful on the way here, so I figured you still wanted me here despite the Monster attack in City J." I gestured to the small tv. He took a small glance at the tiny screen before making a small face.

"Oh, Pru Pru Prisoner is fighting him," he commented, must have been familiar with the prisoner since he motioned for me to move so he could get a better look. "He was one of my favorite heroes before he went to jail." He commented, answering my mental thought.

"Cool, I guess..." I mumbled, just knowing Saitama was bound to show up at some point. My nerves were shot, but I knew deep down he would be okay. He's the strongest man I know, or will probably ever know...

"You look worried even though you don't live in city J though.." I looked over to see Jacob looking at me. I nodded as I grabbed my forearm with my hand to stop the slight shakiness I had.

"I have a friend in the hero program, he's currently on his way now to save the day," I made myself smile a little at the last part. "I know he'll be fine. He's always fine.." Say it out loud made me feel a bit better, looking back to the screen.

All I see is who I now know as 'Pru Pru Prisoner's naked ass fly across the screen and crash into a building. That was not something I was expecting to see, Jacob laughing slightly in the back ground from my grossed out expression. "I don't understand heroes...." I mumbled and I rested my hand on my head.
