Jade's POV
January 4, 2014
((A/N: This particular chapter will deal with some darker tones, there will be a warning when those parts make themselves known. I just thought you'd like a prewarning incase.))
Today is Avery's third birthday. Lizzie and I leave for LA tomorrow morning. We have an appointment with a relator to look at a house we both liked. It was a 3 floor house with five rooms and three bedrooms. The basement had been redone to look like a 80s diner. The little booth and everything. It even had a giant secret room underneath the stairs. It was amazing, big backyard included. We were really hoping to get the house.
Lizzie made her way into the bedroom part of our hotel room. "Ready yet?" She asks picking up the present from the tv stand where we placed it when we finished wrapping it last night.
I look up at her smiling brightly. I stand up walking over to her, I slip my arm around her waist pulling her to my front. She let out a small humph her face turning a light shade of red. Her eyes flicker between my eyes and my lips, she quickly leans in giving me a kiss. My eyes flutter shut humming into the kiss.
As quick as the kiss starts it finished. "We are already running late. Get your shoes on slow poke." She slaps my ass before walking off to the bathroom to fix her makeup that was ruined from our kiss.
I roll my eyes before going over to my shoes slipping them on before tying up the laces. "Ready." I state slipping my jacket on. Lizzie smiles coming out of the bathroom. "Thank god. I thought you'd take 50 years." She jokes walking over to me grabbing her jacket from my offered hands. She slips it on.
We both make sure we have everything before heading out of the hotel to the rented car. No paparazzi today, thank god. The last thing we need was someone trying to follow us to my aunts house. Oh yes, someone in a tinted windowed car yesterday tried to follow us to my cousin Charlie's house since we were going over for dinner last night. We had to take like a 30 minute detour to lose the car. Do people actually think that's okay? We never did see who was driving the car.
Lizzie wants to drive today, which I allow since there is no snow new snow on the ground and it wasn't snowing.
Unconditionally by Katy Perry starts to play on the radio.
"Oh no, did I get too close?
Oh, did I almost see what's really on the inside?
All your insecurities
All the dirty laundry
Never made me blink one time." I start to sing along with a smile on my face. Which in turn makes Lizzie smile brightly."Dork." I hear her mutter jokingly with a smile shaking her head. "Your dork." "Yes, my dork." She laughs placing her hand on my thigh squeezing softly. I shiver slightly biting my lip looking at where her hand was placed on my thigh. I shifted slightly.
I can see her raise an eyebrow out of the corner of my eye. "Jade, are you...?" She trails off teasingly. "Shut up." I groan taking her hand off my thigh as it starts to sneak more closer to my hips. She wrangles her hand free from my grip placing her hand higher up on my thigh.
I once again shift slightly, I bite back a moan as she squeezes my thigh. She lets out a laugh pulling her hand back. "Damn babe, what happened to self-control?" "Shut up." I grumble turning to look out the window, watching the houses and trees fly by. That's when I notice the same car with tinted windows following us again in the mirror. "Lizzie..." I glance at her.
"Yeah?" She looks to me for a second noticing all of my embarrassment from earlier was gone and now reflected worry. "What's wrong?"
"Car." I state simply. She looks at her driver side mirror noticing the car behind us. "Shit." She mutters knowing there wasn't a way to detour now since we were already on my aunts street and it was a dead end. I watch the plates carefully memorizing them to tell the cops about the car that has been following us.
