You always say that we act dumb
And never know what to do
But you don't think about where we're from
And all that we go throughYou always call us moody
And lazy all the time
We're not defined by our beauty
And won't commit a crimeNot everyone is good in school
That doesn't depend on age
Not all of us act like a fool
And not all of us rageNot all of us cry every day
Ever hear of empathy
And we can't obey what you don't say
It's not telepathyWe don't all try to follow the herd
A lot of us are quite lonely
Most don't want to befriend the nerd
And its not just them onlyEveryone thinks that we don't care
But thats not true at all
We are never treated fair
And we really feel quite smallWhere did these rumors ever start
Don't you know they hurt
They can slowly tear us apart
And make us feel like dirtWe are not these monster things
That you make us out to be
A lot of us are tied by strings
And want to be set free
