The previous night
Victor's POV:
"I am going to tell Alazea how I feel about her," I said to Isbert and Warrin, who I know have something for the girl.
After what happened to Laura, I am too scared to let anyone in my heart. I hate to admit it, but it's the truth. Also, I know Alazea doesn't see me like that.
"What?" Isbert furrowed his brows.
"I know she doesn't like me, so I just want to confess and move on," I sat in between the two. "I don't want you both to let this opportunity go to waste."
Isbert snorted and looked away. "I don't like her. She is annoying."
I laughed. What a liar.
"Yeah, say whatever you want, but I know how you truly feel," I teased.
"Whatever," he huffed and walked away.
I promise Isbert wasn't always this childish. I think it's because it's his first time liking someone. He'll be okay. I'm sure.
"But what if she ends up like Laura?" Warrin whispered.
Isbert wasn't here now. It was just Warrin and me, fortunately. I feel most comfortable talking to Warrin about Laura or anything personal to me.
"She won't. Since you know something of that sort can happen, you'll be more careful. I know that for a fact," I encouraged my older brother.
Warrin faced me.
"I want to try a new approach to be happier. Instead of being sad and worrying about things, I want to smile more and think of solutions."
That was random. "Where is this coming from?"
"I talked to Kay. I feel better and lighter. I want to go against our mother and have feelings for Alazea. I want her to like me. I want her."
"I'm glad you know what you want," I laughed. The queen will be furious, but it seems like a fun idea.
"Do you think I can make it work?" Warrin seemed unsure.
"If you set your mind to it, you can. You are built like that. Also, you'll always have my support. Kay is on our side too. I'm not so sure about Isbert, but the others may be of help. Don't worry too much. Go for it."
"I'm tired of being like this. I won't worry about trivial things anymore. I'm going to be happier now," Warrin looked up and smiled. It was the smile I hadn't seen in a long, long time.
"You're finally back," I murmured, satisfied.
"Yeah, I am."
We got up to leave for our rooms when I noticed Michael leave the mansion.
"Where is Michael going at this time?" Warrin was just as confused as me.
"It must be something related to Rosalie," I guessed.
"It could be. The two have been spending a lot of time dancing together these days. I wonder what's going on between them," Warrin smirked. Yeah, he does seem better.

"I have feelings for you, Alazea. I like you."
Victor confessed to me. PRINCE VICTOR OF ABUTLONIA CONFESSED HIS FEELINGS FOR ME. Is this a prank?
