I was literally thinking how we'd fit everyone in the car, when my uncle pressed a button on his keychain and the car opened up to a huge yellow school bus.
"Really?" I asked, annoyed.
"Sorry Bella, this is the only choice that will fit everyone." He said.
As we were all about to board, my mother spoke up.
"Before we leave, I need to speak to my daughter in private." She said.
She pulled me aside and handed me a box.
"Happy birthday my darling." She said, smiling.
I smiled. "How-"
"You're my daughter, of course I would know." She said, beaming.
I opened the box to find a beautiful crescent moon necklace, with a blue heart hanging on it, and a few stars on the chain.
I started tearing up.
"Mother!" I exclaimed as I threw my arms around her.
"I'm glad you like it. It just screams 'The Daughter of the Moon.' And that is what you are." She said.
I put the necklace on and asked how it looked.
"Beautiful. Just like you my darling. I must be off. I will be back by the winter solstice." She said.
I pulled her in for another hug and walked back over to the bus.
"Let's get on with it, shall we?" Apollo smirked.
**********
We all climbed into the 'Sun Mobile' and took off."Right. Well then. Who wants to drive?" Apollo asked.
"Oh! Me!" Grover cried out.
"Too furry." Apollo said. Grover slumped back in his seat.
"How about you Bella?" He asked.
"No way. I'm only 14. Well, 15. But I can't drive this!" I cried.
"Wait. What do you mean by 'Well 15?'" Percy asked.
"Today's my birthday. I turn 15." I said.
"Why didn't you tell anyone?!" He asked.
"It never came up." I said, shrugging.
"Okay! Who else wants to drive? How about Thalia!" Apollo said.
"Me? Oh no, I can't." She said.
"Sure you can, come on!" Apollo said.
She reluctantly took her seat in the drivers seat. She started the bus and we started flying. Not kidding. Flying.
And we were going extremely fast.
"Thalia, slow down!" Percy yelled.
"I can't!" She yelled back.
We turned and shot up and down. We were all over the place.
"Okay, we're here now!" Apollo said, looking a bit pale for a god.
We all jumped out of the bus and I grabbed the Hunters.
"All right ladies! Let's get you to cabin 8." I said, smiling.
We all brought them in and I brought them to the cabin.
"Thank you for escorting us, Lady Isabella." Zoë said.
"It was no problem, and you guys can just call me Bella." I said.
"Alright, well thank you Bella." Bianca spoke.
I smiled again and heard the conch horn signaling breakfast. We really did get back early.
"Breakfast anyone?" I asked and led them to the pavilion.
I wasn't sitting alone for once in the time I've been at camp. I had my friends with me.
My sisters.
