"He broke up with you?" I echoed.
Gia's blood-shot eyes were glossy with tears and her brown eyes turned black in the dim lighting. "N-no." Her voice shook. "I broke up with him."
"Then what are you crying about?" I demanded.
Gia sniffles and says, "He cheated on me! I didn't want to break up with him, but what else could I do?"
I gasped. What a dick: Scott Evans, the dick of all dicks, for cheating on my best friend.
"Well, if I were you, I would have punched that little son of a-"
Gia held up a hand.
"I don't know," she sighs. "I think I am going to stop dating; all guys are the same."
"Your absolutely right, all guys are the same. It has nothing to do with you exclusively dating douche bags," I say. I told Gia it wouldn't be a good idea to date Scott, number one player of Malcom Hugh High School. But did she listen? No-o-o-o, she didn't.
Gia shoots me a death look a I hold my hands up in surrender. "Your right, I shouldn't be making sarcastic little remarks when you just got cheated on."
"Damn right, you shouldn't," Gia muttered.
I looked out across the lunch room, instantly spotting Scott-who was making out with Sarah Fray-I clenched my fists.
Tomboy or not-I am going to make that son of a bitch pay, one way or another.

I jotted down what seemed to be the thousandth note of revenge.
I was in Trig class, not paying one word of attention to the teacher. I had my note book out and was writing down ways to seek vengeance upon Scott.
So far, my list consisted of things of such:
•wedgies
•purple nurples
•kicking Scott in balls
•public humiliation
•beating him up
Kicking Scott in balls was under lined multiple times. But would that really do the trick?
I wanted to stop Scott from ever hurting another girl again-to stop his player ways once am for all. And a kick his nuts wasn't going to do the job.
But, what would?
That was the question I kept asking myself over and over.
I was still asking myself that by the time I got home.
"Jessica?" My mother asked. I looked up from my dinner plate-whoa, dinner? I was zoned out for half the day!
"Mom, it's Jess."
"Of course." Mom leans forward ad places her hand on top of mine. "You seemed out of it...what gives?"
Gia was my best friend, and mom cared deeply for her. It couldn't hurt to tell her, could it?
In fact, it would be best if I tell her. Gia wouldn't mind.
"Well..." I tell mom everything. From Gia dating Scott to their break up. Not leaving out one gory detail of Scott hooking up with another girl.
Then, I told mom about my plans of revenge.
Mom considered this for a moment, and for a while, I thought she'd say that revenge isn't the way to go. Or it will never solve anything-but she surprised me.
