Camellia Hall

"Hey Mom, I'm on this business trip and its going to be longer than I expected. Maybe 2 to 3 weeks and I should be home. There isn't really any service out here where I am at so don't call me I will call you. I love you a lot and I will come see you when I get back if you want. Keep me in your prayers and kiss everyone for me and tell them I love them."

I left my Mom a message since she didn't answer. When I was done, I gave the man my phone and we made eye contact for a second. I could tell he felt bad because I didn't really do anything to be taken away from my loved ones and my career, but here I am.

"We going out later and he wants me to take you to get some clothes and women things. I'll be watching you from now on and keeping an eye on you. Don't make me do something to you that I don't want to do, you seem like an Angel." He said before walking out the room and closing the door behind him. I smiled a little bit because that was the nicest thing anyone has said to me while I've been here. I didn't understand his way of thinking; how he could have me go out and want to keep me as a hostage too.

"You bought me to a closed mall?" I asked my 'babysitter', who's name I found out is Pedro. He looked at me and smiled. If I was anybody else I would've thought we were a couple; he didn't have a fancy suit on like I'd see in movies where the girl gets kid napped by this 'mafia boss' and has this sophisticated looking babysitter. Instead, he had on Rock Revival jeans with a white shirt that allowed his white beater underneath to pop out just a little. He smelled of some expensive cologne. I knew it was expensive because it was very soft but loud at the same time. It matched his gentle, but aggressive spirit he had. I smiled back at him thinking it was a friendly gesture but soon found out it wasn't.

"No. He just bought it out for the day. So you do what you gotta do Ma." He said to me as he put the key in the door to open it.

"So how do I pay for my clothes?" I asked. He looked at me with a look that made me know I was asking too many questions. I rolled my eyes and kept it pushing. I scrolled in Macy's and didn't really find anything that I liked, except a couple perfumes but I wasn't in the mood for perfumes. Then, I went deeper into the mall to find things that I could actually wear.

I am a simple woman, so everything that I picked up involved sweat pants, different color brown shirts with different prints, and I got a pair of shoes too; some all white forces white these tiny metal Nike signs on the side.

When I came out the shoe store after getting another brown hoodie I seen Pedro sitting in the middle of the mall in a chair with his head back. I went over and plopped down on one of the chairs along with my couple bags.

"What you sitting down for Ma, get what you need." He told me. I smiled at him.

"I got what I needed, I'm ready to go" I replied to him. He peeked his head up at me then got out the chair and grabbed my bags for me.

"Let's go.Time is money my baby" He said while walking away. I got out the chair and followed him.

Halfway through Macy's I seen this cologne that I just knew would smell good on him. I picked it up and sprayed it, then I checked to see what the price was on it.

"One-seventy-seven." I said out loud in disbelief. When I sprayed it, I fell inlove with it and the price didn't matter. It screamed 'Pedro'. I smiled, grabbed it, and caught up to him before he could say anything about me falling behind.

He put the bags in the car and came around to me.

"You want to go somewhere to eat or you good?" He asked. I smiled at him, then laughed.
