"Well Belle. Or should I say Blaise. You aren't the easiest to find. Especially since you left the country, got a new look and a boy-toy." Andrew's slight British accent made my blood boil.
"Please don't hurt her." Liam played the part of the choked up boyfriend nicely. I almost believed it myself. Almost.
"Oh, I won't hurt her. I'll just lock her in the basement. And then I'll get what's rightfully mine!" Andrew bellowed, digging the gun further into my skin. I winced slightly at the pressure, but forced it to the back of my mind.
I moved my hand so that it was in front of my thigh and out of Andrew's line of sight before holding up two fingers. Our code for 'now.'
He nodded slightly, and I tensed bracing myself. There was a gasp before his gun clattered the floor. I wrenched myself out of his arms and skidded across the tile into Liam.
I took a deep breath and turned to see Lexi jerk a butcher knife out of Andrew's back where he lay in a puddle of his own blood.
"Well, this sucks." I muttered, crouching down beside him but careful of blood. I listened for a second to find he was still breathing.
With a wink at Lexi who giggled, I rolled Andrew onto his back where he let out a grunt of pain.
"Listen you bastard," I hissed. "You killed my father. So it's only fair that I return the favor."
"I killed your mother too." He wheezed, some blood trickling out of the side of his mouth.
"You did what?" I growled in his face. But his eyes rolled back in his head and he stopped breathing.
"My mother? You killed my mother?!" I sobbed, burying my face in my hands that had ended up smeared in blood. I didn't have the energy to care. The bastard had killed my mother, and Uncle Larry too, since they'd been together when it happened.
'Why didn't I think of it sooner? I could have told Daddy and saved them." I thought.
"Belle?" Lexi put a hesitant hand on my arm and I snapped out of my thoughts to look at her.
"We have to get rid of the body." She spoke slowly, her eyes never leaving mine. I realized I'd been lost in my thoughts for quite a while. His skin had started to cool.
"Take it down to the furnace and dump it." I ordered, wiping my eyes on my sleeve.
"Do you think he was followed?" Lexi asked, wiping up the blood so there was no trail.
I shook my head as she snapped on a rubber glove and picked up the gun. No fingerprints, just the way we liked it.
"Give it to me, I'll bury it while you guys take the body." I got to my feet and looked around to see that Liam was nowhere in sight.
"Where's Liam?" I asked, rinsing my hands in the kitchen sink.
She looked down, focusing on the taking the glove off.
"Well?" I snapped.
"It's just-" She faltered before I saw a tear fall from her face. My own softened, and I crouched down beside her.
"You have to tell me where he went."
She met my steady gaze before nodding. "He went to go to Tony because his father's dead and he killed your family."
My mouth fell open in shock, and I fumbled around in my brain for a bit before remembering how to snap it shut.
"I'm sorry. I couldn't stop him, he was too determined." She shot a glare at Andrew's body.
"It's okay Lex. We'll get him, he'll be fine." I knew I was lying, even to myself. But lies were what we needed.
