𝐀𝐙𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐀'𝐒 face visibly brightend upon seeing mason's teammates. it was clear that tammy and christian were her favourites from the club, everyone knew so.
sage set her daughter down on the pavement, allowing the child to run up to the two. "tams!!" she jumped into his arms with a giggle.
"what am i? chopped liver?" christian grumbled from behind the duo. azelia wiggled out of tammy's embrace and ran over to her other favourite player. "hey bear, i heard you have a new favourite movie."
while the two were talking about azelia's new obsession, tangled by the way, tammy greeted sage with a side hug and began leading her through the stadium with a protective arm around her shoulders. "so... i heard about your family sleepover last night," he teased.
mason couldn't help but post a few cute videos of sage cuddled into his chest on his spam account, most of both his national and club team seeing it.
most thought it was adorable, since mason was never really around his family like that. it would always be pictures of azelia with either parent, and never really one with the two.
others teased the midfielder, calling him a simp.
a few were concerned, mainly for sage, as they didn't want mason to hurt her again. they had all seen how rocky their relationship was before azelia and certain players, like john and kyle, were always in the middle of their petty fights.
there would be nights when sage would turn up to any of their houses, drenched in rain and tears. they would comfort her throughout the night, their girlfriends making the young girl a hot chocolate (because she absolutely hates tea) while trying to ask her what happened.
after this repeatedly happening, the two grew protective over sage. they saw her as her little sister and made it their job to make sure she was never hurt.
"it wasn't sleepover tams, azzy wanted him to stay the night."
"...so a sleepover?" he joked and the four made their way through the stadium. there was still about two hours before fans had to fill the seats, so azelia was free to run around for a while.
the toddler manoeuvred out of christian's arms and ran her way through most of the england team to find her dad.
sage made a beeline for kyle who was doing some sort of stretch with john. "hey bozos," she basically screamed sending looks their way.
the two men made their way to her and the three hugged. after that, there was about a two second pause before kyle began grilling sage about last night. "you have a lot of explaining to do miss." stones agreed.
sage rolled her eyes and began to explain last night's events.
