(18+) ONE-SHOT: A Night To Remember - Hange x Pieck

Occasion

Pieck's POV:

Today's the Commander's birthday, and I've been invited to a surprise party later this evening. I've worked in the walls for roughly two months now, and I still find it difficult to make friends with these people. They're all very sweet and caring, but something's always a bit off.

I recently began my new job as a higher up in the Scout Regiment. I work under...what's her name? I'm not too sure, but she wears glasses over an eyepatch and constantly has her hair up. I've been dying to ask her where the uniform came from, because I was tired of wearing my old uniform. Damn, she rocked the look.

Porco bangs on my door, yelling for me to wake up.

"Pieck! We've got to head to work early today if we want to have time for the party later. Reiner's waiting for us outside."

Porco's always been so commanding. He's a fun guy to be around, but definitely not as a roommate.

Getting out of bed, I say in a groggy voice, "I'll be out there soon. Wait for me outside."

I get myself ready. Brushing my hair out, I hear something drop by my door. Mail?

"Hmm..took them long enough." On the ground layed my new Survey Corps uniform. I took everything out of the box, placing it on my bed, followed by changing my clothes:

A white button down shirt accompanied by a classy olive green coat with a brown leather belt, and white dress pants with black combat boots sat on my blankets. As for accessories, I was given a beautiful emerald pendant I fell in love with. I remember staring at my Commander's pendant wishing I could wear one too.

*Time Skip*

Walking toward my office, I bump into Sasha, one of the only people I'm really close with here.

"Good Morning Pieck! Make sure you begin training soon..can't forget about tonight's party." She reminded me, with a big smile on her face.

"You know it." I grinned back.

She ran off outside calling for some of her other friends.

I had to go pick up something by my Commander's office according to Porco, so I made my way there first before heading to the field for today's training.

Hange's POV:

I've been at my desk since 6am working on completing the signature on these papers. If it wasn't for Levi's "Happy Birthday Four-eyes," I would've forgotten about today. As I get older, these occasions don't matter much to me anymore.

Besides signing my papers, I made sure to remind Jean to drop off the uniform for the new soldiers. I've met most of them and they seem to show lots of potential, but one specifically caught my eye.

Just as I began to drown into my thoughts, I hear two light knocks against my office door.

"Come in." I say, staring at the door to see who needed my help.

Turning the knob and opening the door was one of my new assistants, Pieck Finger.

"Oh hello, Pieck. What's brought you here?"

"Good Morning Commander. Porco sent me because you needed something from me?"

"Oh right!," I adjusted my glasses and shuffled through a drawer beside my desk. "This is for you."

Pieck began to walk toward my desk and I couldn't help but admire her in the new uniform. It looks great on her, especially that pendant. Seems like she decided to do her hair today as well.

"Excuse me, Commander, I had a quick question."

"Go ahead, darling."

She seemed to be startled by the name I used, but I gave her a reassuring look.

"Because I recently moved positions, I don't know your name yet."

"Oh right! My name's Hange. Hange Zoe." I held my hand out to shake it and her face looked flushed in blush as her hand met mine.

"While you're at it, here's what I wanted to give to you. It's a document you need to sign confirming you now work under me."

"Thank you Commander. I'll bring it back as soon as I sign it."

"Call me Hange when it's us two, okay?" I continued to hold her hand without realizing it and quickly let go.

"Go begin your training. We'll all join once again after lunch. I've got to talk to the other new recruits."

Pieck waved a quick goodbye and left my office.

There's something about her I can't get over. Something about the way she talks or the way her hands felt. She was so attentive and observant. I'll make sure I get to see her again today.
