"Brian, just hear me out! I didn't mean for it to happen." Roger tries to win me over.
"No, Roger! You're lieing to your own family about something so pointless to lie about! It's so easy to just tell the truth." I huffed.
Roger looks up at me through his eyelashes, his bright blue eyes still stood out behind black eyelashes.
"Tell the truth." I whisper.
"It's too late for the truth." Roger sighs as he sits down on our dark green couch. His pale skin and blonde hair made the green couch look even darker.
"Explain it all to me again. I need to see it from a different point of view." I mutter as I sit in a matching chair.
"They called me this morning, they wanted me to bring a date to dinner. They want me to bring home a boyfriend, they assumed I was gay for years and I didn't know until now. So... I'm asking you to just... Be my fake boyfriend. Just for my parents. We don't need to pretend when we aren't around them. Just say yes." Roger explains.
"Why can't Freddie do it?" I ask, "I mean, out of all of your friends, maybe ask the one that's actually gay."
"Can you really see me being in a relationship with Freddie?" Roger says with a smile.
I stayed silent.
"Exactly." Roger says as he leans in the couch.
"Fine. I agree to your stupid plan. But, that doesn't mean I understand why you can't just tell the truth." I say before walking up to my room.
