Day 1 in this living hell.

"Speak of the devil!" Roger's father says from the living room. The house is very open, not a single wall seperates any of the rooms. I could see everyone, and they were all staring at us.

"Talking shit about us?" Roger says with a laugh as he drags me down the rest of the stairs.

"Rog! There's kids." Roger's mother nudges the blonde boy's shoulder.

"Little Sam and George knows about the word shit, right kids?" Roger laughs.

"It's our second favorite word." One of the kids says with a smile.

"What's the first?" Roger asks with a devil like grin.

"Bitch!" The other kid shouts.

"Samuel!" An older woman, I'm assuming is Sam's and George's mother, shouts in disbelief.

"Well, let me introduce you all to my boyfriend." Roger directs everyone's attention onto me.

"Everyone, this is Brian. Brian this is my aunt Beatrice, my cousins Sam and George, you already met my mother, father and grandmother, this is my grandpa Mike, my uncle Frank, my step-aunt Petunia, and the newest addition is my little cousin Anna." Roger explains to me. I could barely keep track with all of the names and faces.

"It's so lovely to meet you." The woman named Petunia shakes my hand as her other hand holds a small baby who I'm assuming is Anna.

"It's wonderful to meet you all." I say with a smile.

"Well, we have a lot of catching up to do." Roger's loud uncle, Frank, says with his booming vouce.

"Yeah, when's dinner gonna be ready?" Roger's grandpa, Mike, asks.

"Hush hush Mike. It'll be out soon." Sally swats Mike's shoulder.

Roger and I found our way to a couch where Roger insisted that us slightly cuddling will make our act seem real. That's how I found myself with my back against the arm of the couch with Roger's back pressed against my front. His body curled up in between my legs.

I can feel Roger sigh, "How are you feeling?" He whispers. I could barely hear him from the rucuss coming from the kitchen.

"I'm feeling alright. A bit overwhelming. I've never experienced a big family function like this..." I say with a soft smile. I can't help but feel slightly comforted.

"Really? No big family dinners?" Roger asks as he looks up at me.

I shake my head. It was always just me and my mother. The nights we did have dinner together was silent with mediocre food. We wouldn't even bother putting our plates in the sink or putting away the leftover food. It would sit there until it became an inconvenience.

Of course, I didn't say any of this to Roger. I didn't want him to think of me differently.

"Well, I'm glad that this can be your first experience." Roger smiles.

"Dinner is ready!" Sally shouts from the kitchen, everyone practically runs to the table where all the food is being set up.
