Elvis had arranged his day off so that the Colonel and his father were not to be informed. He had one day to confront Patricia.
Elvis flew in on a private plane with Charlie Hodge, who was looking at him anxiously. Elvis noticed this because he asked:
— What, my friend? Why are you so upset?
— Is that what I think? — Charlie asked and wiped his sweaty forehead with his hand. —Elvis?
—What do you mean?— Elvis leaned back in the chair and pierced him with a blue eyes. — I'm listening to you, go ahead.
— Is your wife somewhere in Los Angeles?
— Bingo — Elvis laughed artificially. — You won your bonus, Charlie. Now to the point. —He grabbed his sweater and pulled him close. Charlie looked at him horrified, and Elvis said softly:
—If you notify Parker or my father, you're already dead, do you hear?
—Of course, Elvis — Charlie croaked. — I understand...
— I mean it, Charlie. If you say a word, a new bullet will land in your body, let's say in your head. Is it worth risking your life just to keep my father or Tom satisfied?
—Of course not.— Charlie sweat even more, and then Elvis let go of him. Charlie sank back into his chair, panting heavily, and Elvis added:
— It will be a nice surprise for Patti.
Deadly , he mentally added. Elvis remembered the photo he had gotten from the private investigator. Patti had brown hair now. She was still beautiful, but it wasn't his pretty Patti anymore, a blonde doll with big blue eyes.
You have started to definitely change your life, which has no place for me. It is a pity that our daughter will grow up without her mother.
He closed his eyes, knowing his revenge would be bloody.

Patti returned from her first self-defense lesson. Bruce turned out to be a nice guy and a patient teacher. He showed her the basics and then they exercised together for an hour.
Patti was physically tired, but pleased. She began to do something useful for herself and felt satisfaction about it.
Now she dreamed of taking a long shower and going to bed. When she entered the mansion, she found Welma, who greeted her warmly:
— How was the lesson with Mr. Lee, Patti?
—Great — Patti smiled. Her hair was tied in a loose ponytail and she was wearing a tracksuit. — Bruce is a thorough teacher. Interesting impressions await us.
