This is just a random chapter that I made because I found an old document in my google drive that I think is surprisingly good, considering I made it for a LA school assignment. Well, you don't have to read it but I hope the ones who do, like it.

The England Massacre

I was doing my regular patrol walking around the old town when someone screamed. Flinging my head around I started running in the direction of sound when I arrived at the location of the screaming. Now you may be wondering "Why would you run to the noise instead of calling the police" and I do have an answer to that but for right now I need to focus on the middle-aged woman in front of me. "Ma'am, are you ok? What happened?" I crouched down next to her and attempted to help her stand. "I-I-I-I..." She couldn't speak. "Probably from being in shock" I grimaced but still helped her up and got her to sit on a chair that was nearby. "Ma'am I'm going to need you to calm down so you can tell me what happened. I can't help if I don't know how to help." I softly spoke and helped her breathe slowly and in a 1, 2, 3 rhythm. Once she calmed down enough to speak she took a deep breath and began. "I'm sorry Officer, b-but I may have just witnessed a kidnapping..." I looked at her in shock. "I did not expect this." I had to take a second to enclose my emotions and appear as calm as possible. "Alright Ma'am, my name is Captain Danial, can you tell me your name, and if you can would you be able to could you tell me anything you saw about the assailant?" I spoke calmly and I could only hope she saw something. "U-um well first of all m-my name is Kate Barns, a-and I only got a glimpse of them. B-but I think it was a male, he was around 6'0 foot, he was wearing a black hoodie so I couldn't see his face...t-that's about it." Kate stopped talking and looked down. I smiled at her. "Thank you, Kate, this will help." she looked at me in shock "Well that makes me feel better, thank you, Captain." Kate smiled up at me, I smiled back and finally grabbed my phone and called into the department, requesting back up. When I got off the phone I finally looked around at my surroundings. We were in an alleyway that was attached to both sides of the street, there was a trash can with black plastic bags surrounding it. One side of the ally opens up to a street with an ally on the opposite side, the sidewalk was brick and the road was covered in black tar. The biggest thing that I could see was the small blood trail that curved into the opening in the ally that I was in right now. "Ok Ma'am I want you to head to the UKPD [United Kingdom Police station] and tell them Captain Danials sent you regarding the newest call in that I just did a few seconds ago. Can you do that for me?" I asked her seriously. Kate's face hardened with resolve and nodded standing almost immediately, I shook off the surprise that filled my body for a moment and nodded to her; turning around I bolted to the blood trail that ventured into the dark alleyway.

As I was walking through the ally my radio made a scratching noise that I was extremely familiar along with and a voice vibrating through the area "Captain where are you? We can't find you on the usual." I picked up the radio and responded "I'm in an alleyway in the old district. I think I'm near the old costume shop considering how long I've been walking." I heard the rookie respond with the normal "10-4" and set the radio back into my utility belt. Looking around I noticed how dark it was getting as my mind raced to try to figure out what I was going to do next. "First of all, I need more light if I'm going to continue to look for anything." I felt around and grabbed my flashlight from the utility belt and flicked it on. Almost immediately I noticed something out of the normal, there was a small brownish-red dot on the ground that splattered on a wall around the corner. I put my flashlight back and grabbed my gun and turned the flashlight on prepared for the worst. When I turned the corner I saw it.... A bleeding decapitated body, and to make things worse the head was nowhere to be seen. I grimace but grab my radio and reported it in. "I have found a body, and I may have a description of the perpetrator." Sighing I walked up to the decapitated body and knelt down next to the little boy's former warm body and looked at the poor work of a decapitation. "So the guy's a pro, the part of decapitation is cleanly cut from the body. This was definitely not the first time the guy did this." As I was inspecting the body a few other people in my department arrived with a body tarp. "Captain Danials I and my rookie are here, you said over the radio that you had a description of the perpetrator." I stood up and nodded to him. "Ok get out your notepad because I have a little information."

After I gave them the information Kate had given me, I asked one of the Lieutenants under my presenter to drive me back. I thanked the guy and walk into the station when we got back. As soon as I walked into the precinct I immediately noticed Kate was getting surrounded by officers attempting to question her. "Really? Ok OFFICERS BACK OFF THE LADY!!!" I used a commanding tone causing the officers around Kate to jump and stand up straight facing me. "Leave this lady alone, surrounding her and blasting questions in her face won't do any good." They all nodded and walked away from Kate except one. "Thank you, Captain, and I'm sorry about that." I raised my hand for a second interrupting her. "Sorry to interrupt you Kate, but what do you think you're still doing here Officer?" I turned to the one still standing near Kate. "Oh! Captain, it's ok this is Jack Barns, he's my son." I was shocked but kept it in. "Oh in that case my apologies Officer Barns, I didn't realize you were her son. But still Kate I need you to come with me to the interrogation room for a second, you're not in trouble in any way." I clarified and she nodded but asked if her son could come with us. "I don't see why Officer Barns wouldn't be allowed in the room with us." Kate and Jack nodded and followed me to the room.

"Ok, to start off I just need to ask a few things. Is your name Kate Barns?" A nod of confirmation "Ok when is your date of birth." I asked looking up "I was born on March 17th, 1976, I'm a Pisces" She replied. Nodding I asked another question "What did you witness today?" I noticed her hesitation so I gave her a small reassuring smile and she smiled back, "O-ok so I was walking down the street when a small little boy ran into me after exiting the same alleyway you found me in. I fell to the ground with him on me, but he was trembling. Obviously, I was scared for the child's wellbeing so I immediately starting if he was ok and what was wrong but he didn't say anything only pointed at his throat." I nodded writing all I could on a paper in front of me "After a minute the kid started crying, now I was really worried. I stood up with the boy in my arms and attempted to calm him down but before I could do anything someone grabbed me from behind and pushed me into the ally causing me to drop the kid and scream, I tried to grab the kid and protect him but the person that pushed me stepped on my hand and grabbed the kid running into the ally exit. But I think when I dropped the kid he hit his head on the ground." By the time Kate stopped talking she was crying and hugging Officer Barns. "It's ok mum you did well." I nodded to him and walked out of the room giving them space. When I closed the door I put a do not disturb sign on the door to give them as much time as they needed. "Now we need to find this guy...but how can we do that."

The next day everyone was running around and talking to different people. A Lieutenant even bumped into me, apologized, and continued running to the other side of the station. "Ok Lieutenant Wane what is going on here?" I questioned someone as soon as I stopped him in his steps. "Well, Captain there have been four more decapitations..." I look at him in surprise and ask him to elaborate. "We had four people call in today and reported finding decapitated bodies with the head no were to be found." I nod to him "Do the higher-ups know about this?" I ask and he nodded his head. "Ok thank you for telling me, Lieutenant." He nods again and leaves running to talk to someone else. "This is bad, how did they do four more decapitations in less than a day?!" I walked to my office sighing "Why does this type of stuff happen in my district?" Walking into my office I sat down at my desk and started working on the brand new pile of paperwork on my desk.

"CAPTAIN!!! Something happened!!" My head shot up as an officer bolted into my room with a terrified expression. My expression hardened and I stood us as fast as I could "There was a mass shooting! At the Merent Mall!!" I ran out of the room knowing the officer was following me. "Shit this is bad!" I ran out of the station with a group of Lieutenants behind me. When we got there I saw millions of people running out of the mall half of them were just standing there and others were on the ground with someone talking and over half of them had blood on their clothes. "Ok Set one help people outside! Set two go inside and look for the perpetrator. Set three come with me and help anyone inside." Once I yelled orders everyone split up into their sets and went to their areas.

By the end of the say we had found at least 148 dead body's in the mall there were 1,042 injured and we had found the guy that did it. But it turns out he was also the person that was decapitating the children. So we got lucky but the worst thing that happened was how we found him. Apparently, when set two found him they had him cornered but before they could take him in he shot himself in the head killing himself instantly. It was a terrible sight considering that there were at least two rookies in there. I had the misfortune of trying to save a pregnant woman only for her to die in my arms, that took a toll on me. After all, that happened the government decided to build a monument as a memorial to all those that died. It was a devastating day that many people would not forget in the many years to come.
