The Rehab Project

Chapter 5

As everyone was led outside to spar in the common outdoor area, All Might and Miriko got to work.
Firstly, All Might went to gather the Rehab Students. Miriko thought this was a rational decision, mostly because Toga scared her, but also because Toshinori is undoubtedly tall.

Next, she spotted and stopped our "lucky" four boys on their way out, pulling them aside.
Tokoyami and Todoroki exchanged confused looks, whilst Bakugou and Deku looked serious, ready to go.

"Sorry to pick and choose, but you guys did kinda volunteer by choosing the Rehab Students."
Miriko gestured for the boys to follow her, which they did. They were led to the UA Secondary Training Unit, or the UASTU for short. Basically a replica of the outside, just in the School Basement.

"We don't normally have a use for this room, but I guess it's only appropriate."
Principal Nezu was being escorted around via Aizawa's scarf, sipping what we can only assume to be tea in a thermos. He addressed the boys to the situation carefully.
"What the Rehab Students don't know, is that this room has two features only we know of. The first, being Aizawa. He'll be on standby to stop anyone from getting too comfortable if something goes wrong."

Aizawa nodded, stuffing his hands into his pockets before continuing Nezu's sentence.

"-The second, being a pheromone in the air. Taken oh so.."graciously", by some of our Support Course students, it allows everyone who breathes it in to remain quirkless, with or without Collars."

Deku looked astonished, such technology was only ever a thought that passed his mind. Bakugou stood loosely, every so often looking over to the Rehabs to make sure they weren't listening. Todoroki seemed as interested as Deku, they often shared ideas together to pitch to the Support Course.

"Wait..."
Tokoyami suddenly came to a realization, moreso thinking aloud.

"Would that mean that while we're sparing, we're quirkless as well?"

Aizawa gave a nod, which terrified the boys. From across the room, Midnight called to Aizawa, catching his attention. She waved a hand, signaling the teachers that they could begin.

"Alright, just fight as normal. It's not much different from just regular sparing, right?"
Aizawa tries, he really does. It just happens to sound sarcastic unintentionally. Bakugou pushed past Todoroki, walking towards Shigaraki. Shigaraki mirrored Bakugou, sporting an artist's glove on both hands. They met in the middle of the room, giving each other piercing glares.

Toga was being held by the shoulders, by none other than Keigo. When Deku started to walk towards her, Keigo let go, raising his arms. She bounced out of his arms-length and skipped happily over to Deku, smiling.

Todoroki and Dabi calmly walked over to the starting point, Dabi nodding at Todoroki to indicate that he was ready. Todoroki did the same, brushing hair out of his own face to meet icy glare.

Tokoyami looked in disgust as Keigo held out a hand to shake. He was still shaken about his betrayal to Hero Society, and wasn't quite ready to view his former Mentor as a respectable figure again. Keigo took the hint, backing away and standing in his starting position. Tokoyami looked behind himself to see Dark Shadow. Dark Shadow shrugged, and fused itself to Tokoyami, retreating to the inner darkness of his soul.

The pheromone was already taking effect, and everyone in the room could feel it. Shigaraki stared at his hand a moment, before looking to Bakugou. Bakugou starting hurling threats, use your imagination of what one's in particular. Shigaraki reached his hand out, and poked Bakugou's arm, using all five fingers. When nothing happened, he removed his Artist's glove from one hand and poked him again, with all five fingers. When nothing happened for the second time, Bakugou gave him a look of both confusion and pity. Shigaraki put his glove back on, and backed away. Seeming somehow more cheerful.

"Alright, enough stalling. Everyone take places and start when you hear the alarm."

The students braced, waiting. When the sound of a wailing alarm sounded, everyone ran towards their partner, not quite sure what to do.
