I smiled as I saw my dress and I reached out and touched it and I heard a faint clicking but I didn’t care. All that mattered was studying this amazing dress that I was going to wear. That I was going to become Mrs. Rose Hathaway Belikov in. I felt a tear spring to my eyes and I dotted it away quickly. I then looked over to Lissa and Sydney who were looking at me expectantly.

“Alright, time for this to really happen.” I said softly. “Time to put my wedding dress on, then all I have to do is actually get married.” I smiled realizing this was the most important day of my life and I wanted to soak up every moment possible.

Once the dress was on and buttoned up and I had adjusted my boobs to sit perfectly in the dress I gave all the girls hugs and told them I loved them before they left to go sit in the church.  Sonja left her little girl in with Sydney and Lissa, Paul and Declan were also getting ready in the front after I said my thanks again to everyone.

With that the photographer spoke up and smiled. “Alright Rose, time to show off your dress to your father.”

My mom walked out of the door and smiled as she had brought my dad in with one of his scarves covering his eyes and his hands were out as he tried to walk in the room without seeing. “Hey old man,” I spoke softly and reached up to take his scarf off his eyes and I saw he was holding his eyes shut. I took a step back and smiled and whispered “Open,”

I knew the photographer was behind me taking photos of his reaction and I smiled at his expression of wonder, awe and pride in his face.

“Rose,” He said softly as he came and kissed my forehead and I heard the clicking of the camera move closer to our sides, no doubt getting as many angles of this moment as possible. I held the position making sure she got the photo and I looked up at him and wiped a tear off his face. “You’re an angel.” He said softly.

“Today, I’m the princess, your princess, dad.” I smiled and he wiped a tear away from my eye now.

“Janinie, can you believe that we made this?” He looked at her and gestured to me.

“Yes Ibhrahim, we made the most amazing and strongest guardian known to man. And she looks like the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen.” She said and they both gave me a hug and I was so happy to have someone immortalizing these moments for the rest of our lives.

Once we had our moment mom broke the silence. “Ibrahim, we need to move, it’s almost time.”

“Thanks mom, can I have a moment with dad alone?” I spoke softly.

“Of course sweetheart.” She kissed my hair and I saw her walk out the door and I’m pretty sure she was going to take her spot in the front row of the church.

“Rose, you’ll always be my princess.” He spoke softly. “And today you become Dimitri’s queen. I’m so proud of everything you’ve done and all that you’ve become. I cannot wait to see how much your life changes and be there for the rest of your days. This is just the beginning of your journey with Dimitri. It might not be easy all the time but I know the two of you can work through everything together.”

“Thank you, dad, I love you. I’m so lucky to have you in my life, I know we have a lot of time to make up for, but I’m glad I know who you are and we have a relationship.” I smiled and we both took a few deep breaths and I gulped as I took a deep breath. “Please don’t let me fall.” I said softly as we walked up to the doors that opened to the church.

“I won't, my princess.” He said softly in my ear as the doors opened.

If my dad wasn’t holding onto my arm I would’ve bolted up the aisle to Dimitri. Instead we walked slowly and I looked around smiling as we walked past our friends and family and then I looked up at Dimitri. I could see tears starting to trickle down his beautiful face and he quickly wiped them away and he had the biggest smile on his face.
