the group of teens looked at each other, eyes blinking and mouth agape. 2 hours to get out of the house, that's totally doable, right?

"shit shit shit! how are we gonna get out? that door isn't going to fucking move one bit," seulgi pointed at the heavy wooden doors in frustration.

jake nervously laughed, they weren't going to be stuck in here forever right? there has to be some way out.

"there should be a back door somewhere in this type of houses...all we have to do is, well, find it," jungwon shrugged nonchalantly, "let's split up and-"

"NO!" yooah and jay shouted in unison, "you're crazy, jungwon! we should never split up in cases like this, have you not seen what happens in the movies?" yooah exclaimed, frowning at the confused boy.

"okay okay, we won't split up," yooah and jay visibly eased at this, and sunghoon continued, "let's take a look around this house together. all we have to do is find the back door anyway, it shouldn't be too hard right?"

cautiously, the group of highschool graduates ventured deeper into the eerie lodging, the feeling of eyes on their backs never leaving them. the portraits on the walls definitely did not help their nerves, riki couldn't help but turn back periodically to look behind him, terrified of what he might catch watching.

"this house is so...weird." heeseung murmured, placing a hand on the victorian-style wallpapered walls.

as they left the living area of the house, they realised that there was only one weirdly long hallway, that lead to a single door at the end of it. hesitant to approach, the group of teens stood at the entranceway of the hallway, waiting for someone to make a move.

"um....are we sure we wanna go through that door? it looks pretty suspicious to me," hitomi whispered, her hands clammy with cold sweat.

"sadly, i don't think we have a choice, hitomi," sunoo gently replied, "anyone wanna take the lead?"

wordlessly, jay stepped into the hallway, looking back once and motioning for the rest to follow him. for some reason, the usually raucous group of youths felt the need to stay deafeningly quiet, as they creeped into the hallway, towards the door at its end.

that door looked like one hell of a paint job.

the splotches of green paint on the door made it seem like someone had hastily thrown paint on it, the brown, rotting wood could be seen in several spots uncovered by the paint. completely in contrast to the state of the horrible green paint job, a neatly drawn diamond-star shape was smack in the middle of the door, a familiar shape they were sure they had seen before.

"so...we go in?" jungwon blinked, surveying his friends' cautious looks.

heeseung nodded, "let's do this, and get out of here. asap."

with that, he twisted the door knob, stepping into the unknown that lies upon them.
