Finally, one whole day is going to end in this part. You do realise that, right?

Let's move on to the chapter.

The sky grew darker, painted blue on blue, one stroke at a time, into deeper and deeper shades of night. The true joy of a moonlit night is something we no longer understand. Maybe it's the beautiful and delightful sight to behold the body of the moon.

Sitting quietly on the roof top, with legs dangling carelessly in the air, gazing above the night sky, without any thoughts running inside the mind, staring into oblivion, observing the numerous twinkling stars, without any care about anything, just living the moment. Maybe life is all about twirling under one of those midnight skies, cutting a swathe through the breeze and gently closing your eyes.

Don't know why, but tonight the stars were looking more magnificent, the night was more beguiling, the city looked more alluring, and everything seems so peaceful and divine. As if they're trying to say something, seems like they want to deliver some hidden message, something important, something good. Like they're silently promising, everything's gonna be fine from here on, life is surely gonna face countless ups and downs but you need to stay calm and determined to overcome those tiny obstacles, if you'll cherish and worship every single day of your life then it'll load you with millions of beautiful moments which you can carry to your grave with a smile on your face.

I just wanna thank Him for everything, for every good and bad, for every cry and smile, for all those happy and sad moments, for each and everything he has done for me, for us. Thank you so much for granting me with this infinite happiness, with so much joy. So, if at the end of the day I get what I want, then everything was worth it and I really don't regret going through some shit phase, if at the end I get to hold my beloved by myself, all for myself. Thanks for giving me this precious moment.

'And thank you for fighting for our love till the end'

I heard her soft mesmerising voice coming from the back. I didn't actually had to turn around to recognise who's it was, cause that was the only voice I could never ever mistaken.

'You heard me!?? Was I that loud? ', I asked, still facing towards the brightly lit sky. She really heard me. I concluded, slightly scratching the back of my neck due to embarrassment, receiving a melodious chuckle from her.

'Here, take this', she said, forwarding a mug of black coffee, instead of answering my previous question, before leaning beside me, enjoying the view with her mug and a packet of chips. One of her weirdest habit of having chips dipped in the black coffee, which I till now never understood.

'Come here', I simply said, gesturing her to take a seat beside me, fully aware of her fear of heights.

'Aditya, you know..... ', she whined and I was damn sure she would definitely come up with some lame excuses but I wasn't listening to her, not today atleast.

'I'm not buying your excuses. So come right now', I sounded a bit harsh but that was only for her. I just want her to overcome her fear, that's all.

'But.... But I'm afraid of heights. You..... You know that. Don't you? ', she stuttered while forming a sentence, looking here and there for any possible escape. I know, baby.

'Don't you trust me? ', I said in a quite soft tone, locking her nervous gaze with mine. Well, when everything fails, emotional blackmailing works, 100%. And I've learnt this from her only.

Now she seemed to be out of words, totally tongue tied. As much as I wanted to help her I couldn't deny the surfacing laughter which was threatening to erupt within me just by staring at her nervous looks and fidgeting hands. Control Adi, you'll spoil everything. I chided myself, before composing my posture.
