(A loud click is followed by a six second melodic chiming.)
Cue presenter: My name is Harry Carlson and good night to you all. It's 2100 hours. Today was a beautiful Tuesday once again; I hope you, all of you, spent some time appreciating this wonderful summer we're having. It's important to focus on the positive, friends. That's right. If there's one thing I want you all to take from this, it's that.
End segment.
Cue presenter: Now, today's first song is an oldie but a goodie. We haven't played this one in a while, but it sure was a hit back then.
Yes sir, a few of you have been requesting it for tonight's show: it's
"Give Me Love".Song plays.
Cue presenter: How was that for a throwback, fellas?
Alright, we're getting a lot of call-ins today. Thank you to you all, but we can only take a few, definitely just the one this hour.(A loud click)
--pause--
Presenter: Hello?
Caller (on record as William Matthews): Harry? Hello.
Presenter: Bill, is it?
Caller: Not for a long time.
Presenter: Sorry, William.
Caller: Harry, honestly, it's a downright shame, this. I've followed your show since the 80's and I tell you, I don't like the idea of losing it. And I'm positive there are others who have grown to depend on you like I have. It's--
Call ended.
Cue presenter: William, thanks for calling I'm gonna have to cut you off there. We're running out of time. But thank you for the kind words, and for the smooth transition to our next point of call. Which is not something I particularly want to talk about, but I know it'd be worse for you guys if I didn't give you the heads up.
This will be our last show. It's been good, but it's time.
I'll have to get more into this later in the night, because that's ten past. Happy listening.(A loud click.)
