Chapter 2:

At the mall

2:30 pm

Tyler's POV

It took us up to 30 minutes to walk to the mall and by the time we got there our legs were killing us

2:35 pm

When our legs were rested up, we started with the things that are most vital to us; food and clothes

We went to the food aisle and bought some groceries that we could afford

After that, we went to the clothing aisle and bought some second-hand clothing which included some jeans, shirts, and shoes.

Yeah, the clothes we were buying weren't the latest clothes but hey, we were holding up pretty well for a couple of orphans.

When we were leaving, we ran into some guy and out of the blue he started yelling at my sister and calling her nasty names, and of course, she shot back. And that's how they kept yelling at each other.

I just had to intervene.

" Why are you yelling at each other like little children?!"

Henry's POV

 Suddenly I smelt a very pleasant smell, it was of strawberries and fresh fields...

"MATE!!!!"  Jake yelled

"What?!, how could such an insolent brat be my mate?"

" Hey, I don't make the rules but I think  you should tell that guy over there to stop yelling before he destroys our eardrums," Jake said

"Okay, okay!" I told the boy

" thank you, now why are you yelling at each other?" he asked

" He started it!" my so-called 'mate' said

" No, she started it. I was on my own this morning and... wait why am I even telling you this?" I asked him

"Because (1) I'm her older brother and (2)  You both were yelling in my ear," he said

"So this is her brother," I thought

"Anyway, I'm really sorry for yelling at you, Come, let me make it up to you," I said

"No!, I'm not going anywhere with some stranger"

"Alexandra!" her brother said

"So your name is Alexandra, my name is Henry," I said

"I don't care, now stop bothering us" Alexandra replied harshly then took her brother's hand and they left the mall.

"Well there goes our soon-to-be luna," Jake said.

Alexandra's POV

"Can you believe it, someone that was insulting me wants to 'make it up to me?!" I asked Alex on our way home

"He did seem sincere," he said

"Trust me, he's not, and besides don't  you remember what mum and dad told us the day before they died?" I asked him

"Yeah I do" he replied

The day before our parents died, they told us that if they weren't around, we should trust no one and lie low, and that's exactly what I plan on doing.

At home

4:30 pm

Because of Henry, we got home 30 minutes later than we intended so we just went to our room and took a nap for about 2 hours and woke up by 6:30 pm, we took a bath and brushed then we went to the kitchen and ate some cereal (hey don't judge us) and by 6:35, we went to get dressed and left for our night shift.
