As I walk into the diner I notice too things. One, the people that noticed me started to look at me like I was some eyesore and soon enough I heard them says things just loud enough so that I could hear them.
"What is that thing doing here?" "Why hasn't that freak killed itself already?" "There kind deserves to burn in hell"
I wasn't bothered by it, after awhile it just didn't effect him. Instead he diverted his gazed to the second thing he noticed. In the back of the room he was in there was a band singing on top of the stage. On the far left was a blue bunny-like furoak.

as I stared at the three on stage I couldn't help but wonder, 'Are those really appropriate?'
???: "Excuse me, can I help you sir?"
I turn to turn to see a human girl.

(Now for those of you who don't know, Seth didn't have that many friends so he's really shy. P.S. pretend she is wearing a security hat and badge.)
As a look at her I notice her hat and badge. 'She must work hear' I thought to myself.
Me: "U-Um, y-yes actually. I here t-to apply t-to apply the n-nightguard sh-shift. C-can you show me wh-where the m-manager is?" As soon as I said that her eyes seem to light up.
???: "Finally, I've been having to do it myself for the past couple of days. Come on, I'll show you where it is"
She hooked her arm around mine and started to practically drag me to the managers office. I on the other hand was a little more focused on a certain softness against my right arm. A huge blush forming on my face as I realized just what said softness was.
???: "And here we are, the manager should be just in there."
Me: "O-oh, um... T-thanks, uh, M-my name i-is Seth by the way, i-it w-was n-nice to m-meet you."
Vanessa: "It was nice to meet you too Seth, my name's Vanessa. I hope you get the job. For your sake and mine."
As she turned around to help some of the customers, I stood there for a moment before shaking my head. 'Get yourself together Seth, you still have an interview to do' I turned to the door and nocked.
???: "Come in"
I opened the door to see a man working on something on his computer. He looked up at me before stating.
???: "Is there something you need sir?"
Me: "Um, I-I'm here to apply for the nightshift."
The man looked at me with a excitedly before standing up.
Marisu: "Oh, Well why didn't you say so!? We've been having a bit of trouble finding some one to take the position. But, where are my manners my name's Marisu and due to the fact that we desperately need a new nightguard, your hired!"
He put his hand out and started to shake my hand a little too hard. Then he proceeded to pull out some papers from out of his drawers before placing them in front of me.
Marisu: "Right, I'm just gonna need you to si-"
Me: "W-wait, t-that's it? I-I'm hired just like t-that?"
Marisu just stared at me for a moment before responding.
Marisu: "Yes, as I said I've been having a hard time hiring people for the position. Just sign here and the job is yours."
I couldn't believe my luck, finally after all this time I was able to get my first job. I grabbed a pen and signed the paper without even bothering to read it.
Me: "Thank you so much sir, you won't regret it"
Marisu: "Make sure I don't, make sure to get by 11pm I'll have Vanessa give you a tour."
Me: "Yes sir"
And with that I walked out of the diner feeling like nothing could ruin my happy mood. That nothing could possibly go bad. Boy, how wrong I was.
