I wake up to my alarm blaring. *Beep beep beep beep beep- thud- beep beep beep beep beep beep- THUD- beep beep beep beep beep-unplugs wire*
I hate my alarm clock.
I grab my phone off my nightstand and check the time... 8:05 ... School starts in 10 minutes. Wait, 10 minutes? Crap. So much for getting up early. I leap out of bed (ready to pull off something awesome and somehow get there on time) and trip on my blankets and fall face-first. I drag myself up, hanging onto my dresser and sloshing the water in my fishtank, and head to the closet.
Contents of my closet:
- Stuff that makes me look fat
- Stuff that makes me look desperate
- Stuff I'm allowed to wear to school
I grab random items out of the last category and pull them on. Head over to my mirror to check it out. A cupcake shirt (??????) and capris. I take off the shirt pull on a plain green tank and check the time, 8:08. I snatch my phone and backpack and run down the stairs, two at a time. Lights are off downstairs...? That's weird. I go to my mom and dad's room and open the door. They are still in bed.
"Guys! It's Monday! I have school!" I yell.
My dad rolls over and looks at me with his you've-got-to-be-kidding-me-right-now face on.
"Kit, it's Saturday." he mumbles.
