"Hey levi."
"Hmm" I grunted, I was already prepared to hear something stupid, and took a sip from my tea.
"Your 40.. and yet single? Lame."
I spilt the hot tea down my uniform and looked back to see Hanji's face, which was painted with a smirk.
"Fuck you."
She sat on the chair opposite me and leaned forwards. My insides turned into butterflies.
"Can I ask you a question." She asked, studying my face carefully.
"Depends, will I like it?" She smirks and looks into my eyes. "Maybe.."
"I want to try a new experiment...you and me.."

Erwin laughed heavily and patted me on my back.
"I guess some of the scouts owe me money."
I stared at him in disbelief. "You betted on us?!"
He grinned and handed me another glass of wiskey.
"Who wouldn't. Most of us had betted that you two would start dating."
I shaked my head, "We are not in a relationship, just..fuckbuddies."
I heard the disappointment in my voice. Why was I sad, she warned me before, why did it hurt?
'Will you agree to my terms? No real feelings for eachother. Deal?'
"Thats what they all say in the start but just you wait, you will both start having emotional feelings for eachother."
I scoffed, "Coming from who?"
He shushed me up and rejoiced. I was almost glad I convinced Hanji not to come.
I walked back to my room after an hour or so and fell face first into my bed.
"Boo."
I jumped up and stared at the figure on the edge of my bed. "Dammit, Hanji, your back again."
I knew we were both gonna regret days like this but that was for the future us to deal with. Young and dumb we both were.

We lay breathlessly next to eachother, my head whizzing with thoughts.
Its been 3 months since she proposed the idea to me and I think the damage is done.
Hanji, I have fallen for you so hard that I know you won't respond to my feelings. I can't wait any longer.
Its a step forwards from crushing on her from a friends side but It sucked being the only one who felt emotional feelings. Why propose the idea in the first place?
