(Y/N)'S POV

"Agh Hange!"

Why was that the first thing I said?

The titan had a firm grip on me and a few more of my comrades. I tried to pull myself out of its hand but gave up soon afterwards. Many of them screamed and one had fainted too.

I turned my head around until my eyes caught contact with the titans. It stared at me with a menacing smile.

It suddenly raised its hand just above it mouth and my heart dropped. It opened its hideous mouth and was about to drop us cadets into it. I suddenly got a gory flashback.

12 years ago. During an attack, when the walls had been ambushed my titans. I remember running. I blurred out the noise. I didn't know where I was going, but I kept moving. I took a turn and fell dead in my tracks. There I saw the priest. He was being devoured from his head to his toes. The image still terrifies me to the day. I was disgusted.

I shut my eyes in fear. Saying my last wishes. I hadn't thought this would be the end of it. It felt to soon.

I heard the sound of someone gliding through the air and slicing through something. The titans hands loosened and dropped all the cadets onto the ground. I heard the thud of what seemed like the titans body.

I opened my eyes and tears started rolling down my cheeks as I sat there. My emotions were muddled up. I was scared. I was relieved. I had gotten to live another day.

My eyes, blurred still, saw a hand reach out towards me. I didn't recognise the person but I felt like I could trust them, they gave off a soothing warmth.

I couldn't see straight. Everything went fuzzy. The voices slowly faded. I fell forwards and felt same pair of hands catch me. Black. All i could see was black.

I felt a warm hand in mine. Light breathing. I fluttered my eyes open and took a deep breathe. I turned my head to see none other than Hange. I was shaken by the thought of her. THE hange. There, by my side.

She sat on a stool beside my bed. Her hand still in mine. The same hand that was held out to me. Her head lay on my legs. She looked.. content and well...peaceful. I decided to make the most of this moment, I dont think we could have seen another time like this.

Again I wonder. Why had I felt all these weird feelings whenever I see her? Why does she, of all people, make my heart skip a beat when she smiles?

I felt myself go slightly red as I caressed her hand with my other hand.

"Ugh- ahh, your awake? How are u feeling?" She sat up. She was in a casual shirt with her buttons undone a little low. I caught that and went red again.

She must have been hyper as she suddlenly climbed ontop of me. Wrestling my arms either side of my head.

"Did u enjoy that beauty of a titan.?"

"I- what?"

I almost got eaten by a flipping titan and this Baka is worried about the titan.

I ignored her question and acted offended, showing off my cocky side.I decided to counter attack, I have slight issues when my ego is hurt. I switched positions, shifting ontop of her.

"I see.. thats how you want to play" she grinned with a smirk.

I suddenly came to jest of what I had just done. I jumped off and apologised. Embarrassed of my actions.

She walked over and I shut my eyes again. Unexpectedly she placed a warm, wet, kiss on my cheek and left the room. I was shocked and surprised. We barely knew eachother yet she still kissed me.

As I heard the door shut, I grabbed my pillow and screamed. I had no idea where this burst of confidence came from but it sure rewarded me with a prize I could never have dreamed of getting.

It was currently in the middle of December.

December.

Wait.

CHRISTMAS!!

I had forgotten altogether that christmas day was right around the corner.

I remembered the christmas dinners I would have with my family. Mother would have cooked up some delicious meals every year and I would share presents with my parents and siblings too...I would give anything to have that day again.

This year I won't have to celebrate alone.

I heard the dinner bell ring from outside my door. I had totally forgotten about dinner. I quickly changed into some comfortable clothes and walked out the door.

I bumped into Mikasa, who seemed to be in deep thought.

"Hey Mikasa! Whats up?"

The girl snapped back to reality and smiled, " Hey (Y/N), how are you feeling?"

"Im better, thanks," I watched the girl smile and looked in the direction she was looking in.

Her eyes were all over that scout famously known around the corp. Eren Yeager. Apparently he was a titan shifter, although I have never seen him in his titan form.

Shame.

Im beginning to sound more and more like Hange..

"Soo, you gonna get him anything for christmas?" I say, giving that smirk.

"I was planning too, but I'm not sure what to give."

"I'm sure he would be content with what ever you give him!"

She thought for a second before smiling and thanking me.

"So what are you getting for Hange?"

"Huh?" What did she mean-

"Don't act like you don't know what we are talking about. Everyone in the corps ship you two."

I digested the words before blurting out some things in defence.

But in all honesty, I think that maybe me and Hange could have a future together.
