Ryuk has a monster addiction. No I don't have a reasoning. He just does. Light tries to get him to drink the green apple monster but he full out refused to because it's green apple and not red. He full out refused to drink any flavor but the original. He annoyed Light into making him candied apples but instead of Caramel it was boiled down monster Syrup. Which he also made Light do. He did not like it. He also didn't drink monster for specifically three months after. He crushes monster cans into little disks and then throws them like frisbees at Light.
The monster doesn't affect him he just likes it. It also annoys Light that he has to buy it for him.
