-Elizabeth's POV-

"I'm really sorry, but we have no place for more people." I said.

"But I'm really tired! I have been looking for him the whole night! Let me into your apartment!" He said, the lights turning on and off.

"Listen kid, you can't come inside. We don't let in strangers!" Veronica yelled. He glared at her, the  turned his head towards me, asking "Let me in?"

"You heard her..." I said. He glared at me too before he said "Rot in hell, ideots!"

"It's idiot." Veronica corrected. I rolled my eyes as the black haired, black eyed boy ran off to knock at another door.

"S-" Veronica cut me off by saying "It's their problem now, I don't care."

Then she pushed me away from the door while closing it.

"H-hey, that boy, the demon, he haven't eaten anything the whole time he have been here, don't you think he's hungry?"

"Let him starve. That's what he deserves." She answered, making me sigh with a small "Okay."

. . . . .

We was sitting and doing our own things, waiting for Margaret to come. She should be here soon.

Sometimes, the lights flickers off and on and I'm always thinking about a way to stop it. It has to do with that boy, so maybe if I talk to him about it, he will make it stop?

He must be hungry too. I don't like him, but I'm still worried about him. What if he starve to death?!

Looking at Veronica, I just saw her using her phone.

"Ummm... I'm... going to my room, might be there a while." I spoke, getting up form the couch. She slightly nodded as I started with going to the kitchen, making a sandwich and a glass of water. I went towards the room where he was locked in, opening the locked door and then walked in. He was still sitting in the chair, unable to move and he stared at me with those black eyes.

I closed the door quietly, walking a step closer to him in the small room. As I looked around, I saw that many of the cleaning supplies was on the floor and even a shelf had fallen down.

I sat down on the floor, putting down the plate and glass as well before I looked up at him.

"Are you hungry? I brought some food to you." I whispered. He just stared at me, making me feel a bit uncomfortable.

Slowly untying the bandana at his mouth, I took the sandwich and brought up to his mouth, keeping my shut.

He looked at me as he took a bite and slowly chewed on it, but then spit it out, seeming to shudder from it. Getting a bit worried, I pulled up the water for him to drink, which he did without hesitation, slurping down everything in one go.

"I not eating that." He said, looking at the sandwich. I looked at it, then tried a bite of it on the other side of the sandwich. It tasted just like normally.

"What do you want to eat then?" I whispered, making sure to not be too loud.

"I'm eating souls. I want to eat your soul." He said, making me shiver this time and shake my head. Then he tried to move, making me immediately distance myself a bit from him.

"Why do you eat souls? What is the point of it?" I asked, now ready to put on the bandana on him again if needed.

"Want soul, eating soul, I get a soul." He responded, making me once again shake my head.

"That won't make you get your own soul, it will just be other's combined." I replied sadly, now looking down. I felt him stare at me, asking "Then how do I get a soul?"

"I don't know, but... you should try to build it up. Find activities, things and people you love, find feelings inside yourself. A soul, that is like someone's personality, mental body, isn't it? Then you should try to try things out, find what you like and dislike." I suggested, looking up.

"Soul is emotion, willpower and personality. I want that also." He said, making me nod.

"I think you should find that yourself. You already have the willpower of getting souls, just direct that to try out new things. Don't kill people or take their souls, find your own instead." I advised. He looked at me with those black eyes and for a second, it looked like they was slightly lighter.

"Can not do."

"What? Why not?"

"I can not move. Untie me and I will leave, please?" He asked so sweetly. For a second, I actually thought about untying him, but quickly pulled back my hands.

"Untie me! Untie me! Untie me!" He started yelling, making me immediately take the bandana and tie his mouth shut. I could still hear his muffled screams, so I quickly walked of the room.

"Elizabeth! I heard his screaming again!" Veronica said, running towards me. I just nodded slightly, locking the door.

"What was you doing with him?!"

"I just wanted to give him some food..." I answered. She sighed and shook her head with her hand against her forehead.

"I'm really sorry Veronica." I mumbled. She looked at me, saying "What of he hurt you?! Or took your 'soul'?! What if he fled?!"

"I'm really sorry, I won't do anything like that again."

"You better not, I care about you Ellie." She spoke, making me nod. Then the doorbell rang and Veronica said "That must be Margaret."
