CHAPTER 2

Whenever my parents have an announcement to make its always something good that calls for celebrations. I was impatient and I could not wait for end of today's class because of that announcement my parents were willing to tell us. I did not want to remain at school for study I wanted to prepare a supper for the announcement as we always do with our sister.

When I arrived home found my sisters started to prepare for supper.

"I wonder what they will tell us today that makes Walter to comeback," said Natasha.

"Most of announcement he's not available, but the one of today seems serious," added Evidence.

The moment I heard my sisters saying brother Walter he is home also I became extremely excited, and I even forgot that I came back to help them to prepare supper.

"Where is he? Is in his room?" I asked them.

"He went to check his friends and said he will see us later," Evidence responded.

I thought they were pulling my leg as they always do. I went to his room to confirm that he is home I saw his laptop on his bed opened. He likes to get me gifts and I went to change school uniform in my room and wear my home clothes. Then I went out to look for him just for his hug because it has been while without seeing him. I found him sitting with his friends at their usual spot that they use to every time they are together.

"That is a girl my younger brother always cries about her that she is rejecting him," said Walter's friend.

"I like the fact that he does not give up. I hope I do not take his focus out of books," I added.

Then I ran to my brother to hug him because I missed him a lot. He also like my company with sisters.

"Theo please I will see you later go and do your school homework's," said Walter.

Then I left home, while on the way to home I remembered what my brother's friend said to me about his younger brother. He used to tell that why cannot we date since our brothers are friends. Sometimes I really think I can give him chance, but I am not sure that he might be the right person although he is a good guy. But that was not about him today, it was about this serious announcement that brought my brother home. What if my brother is willing to get married as he is working and that is why he came home?

It was about supper time everybody was home and available while me and my sisters preparing it. We ate supper and our parents have not spoken anything yet. My brother was on his phone talking with someone through texting and that was not acceptable on the table during the family time.

"I am sorry for being on phone during family time, however I had to do it because I have a surprise for you all before mom and dad tell us their story," said Walter.

I heard a sound of a car outside, I thought it is neighbor's car and again he went back to his phone.

"Mom, dad and my sisters I just bought a car. The one heard outside stopping is mine and so on the phone I was talking to driver to come so I can announce it. Let us go outside and see it," said Walter.

We went outside to see my brother's brand-new car as he told us so. A 4x4 bakkie I thought it is something like sedan cars or family car type. But I was happy for him because he managed to purchase something for his hard work.

"Congratulations my son I am proud of you. You have proved me wrong," said dad.

The bakkie was parked in the garage and I was the first person to go inside when it was being parked. Everybody went inside the house and now we were waiting for mom and dad announcement.

"We have good and bad news. Which one must we supposed to start with?" asked mom

"Since we just received good news, it is better to tell us good news first and the bad one shall follow, you don't have to ruin this mood we are in now," Natasha responded.

I just noticed with the smile from dad that they have got what they wanted all the time. Their smile was convincing that they have reached their long them goal.

"We have managed to franchise one of the big stores in the country and it is going to operate in another city where new shopping center will be opened official in 4 months to come," said mom.

"That's an awesome news and this call for celebrations," said Evidence.

"Is too early to celebrate because there still bad news that we are waiting," said Walter.

"Your mother will also tell you to bad news also maybe might be good news to you," said dad.

"The bad news is we are going to move to new abode in two months near where the mall is situated," said mom.

For that moment everyone went silent because that was not the news we expected. I could not imagine how am I going to cope in a new abode. I am not forgetting making friends and starting relationship with new teachers.

"Dad for real we are leaving this abode after so many years," I asked dad.

Mom and dad looked at each other in their eyes, it seems like that question was heavy for them. In my point of view, it is like they never thought about this kind of question when they plan this announcement. It was like I sent them to their drawing board from their plan of moving us to their new business area.

To everyone it was difficult to accept that time. I looked at Natasha, she looks emotional because she liked the abode and did not wish to leave it one day. I thought she was thinking about her relationship with her primary school lover because it being more than 15 years dating. As for Evidence it was a like the good news to her. She always wanted to leave this abode but because our parents did not allow that she had no choice. Natasha was waiting for her graduations with her boy and their plan was working well. I could not understand why did Walter and Natasha studies via O.D.L(online distance learning). Evidence did not like it very well that is why she wanted to leave this abode. As for Walter everything was fine because he was a popular person because he is soccer player.

What I liked about my parents is that they let you choose your dreams, and they will advise you with careers base on your character. I used to watch him playing while he was playing for a local team it was always winning. There was one tournament and that was the last time we saw him playing for a local team. Their team we knocked out on last eight teams and that was the last time his mates played with him. He was offered an opportunity by one of national league teams and he accepted it.

Natasha was in business, she used to work with mom and dad occasionally as she was studying. Even her boyfriend was doing the same thing she was doing. I used to call their relationship as relationship of goals because they made sure that they achieve everything together.

Evidence was more in life coaching and mentoring. But my parents advised her to consider being a social worker or a counsellor. She used to advise me and like to encourage me saying she is, my mentor. Her social media page was full of encourage words and motivation and it was like her hobby to do such.
