When I wake up the next morning, my day off from class and work, it's to a phone call from Niall. Looking at the clock, I'm shocked. It's 9 AM, which is about an hour later than I usually sleep on my off-days. Wow... I rub the sleep from my eyes and clear my throat before answering my phone.
"Hello?" I answer, still reeling a little from the fact that I totally went on a date with Irish teen heartthrob Niall Horan. Even though I barely know him, I can pretty much see his gorgeous smile through the phone.
"Morning, love. I was wondering if you'd like to come over and formally meet the rest of the boys?" He asks, making my heart leap. How many times had I imagined myself in this situation within the last few years? Of course I wanted to go see the boys; it was all I could do to keep from screaming as I answered his question.
"Yeah, that sounds fun! Where do you want me to come?" I ask him, completely unaware of where the boys are staying in the city. Hell, I didn't even know they were in the citty at all until yesterday. Wow, my life had literally changed one hundred percent in the last 24-hours. Niall gave me the address of their hotel, and I replied that I would be over in an hour. Time to get ready...
After a quick shower, I pulled on a pair of dark skinny jeans and a striped purple tunic. I slid on some gold sandals and I blow-dryed my hair. After a bit of make-up, nowhere near as much as last night, I anxiously headed out.
I rapped on the door to their hotel room, earning a few uneasy glances from the gaurds sanctioned at their door. The boys, or Niall, rather, must have told the gaurds I'd be coming. Otherwise, I'd probably be getting tackled or something right now... The door opened to reveal five guys all standing around in their pajamas, and Niall with a toothbrush hanging awkwardly from his lips.
"Hi, CeCe!" exclaimed Harry, the one who had answered the door. Blushing, I did an odd sort of wave to all of the guys, who started laughing as Niall blushed the same color red as the toothbrush that was now in his hands. I felt out of place and odd until Louis spoke up.
"Ignore them, they're all very immature. Come on in!" he called from his position sprawled across one of the beds. I walked in, sitting on one of the chairs. The boys continued to banter with each other while Niall disppeared into the bathroom and walked out dressed in jeans and a worn T-shirt. I smiled at him.
"Guys, this is Celia. Celia, this is the guys." He introduced us, assuming correctly that I already knew the other boys. I waved, getting greetings from them all. The other four went back to their previously interrupted activites, while Niall led me out onto the hotel's balcony. Jeez, it was so high up I felt a little dizzy, but I managed to hide it from him. He took my hand, and looked at me in a way that made my knees weak. I blushed, something I found myself doing quite often while he was around.
"I've only known you for, like, two days and yet I just feel so good around you." He said, running his fingers through my hair and smiling like a goof ball. MY goof ball, I thought.
"I know. When I'm with you, I feel... different." I replied, realizing that it was true. Wow, cue Disney song for our totally mushy moment. However, our moment was ruined when Louis and Harry mooned us and stuck their bare butts against the glass windows. Niall playfully covered my eyes until they left, and then he wrapped me in his strong arms. He leaned closer and I knew what was coming. My first kiss. Oh, no.
Niall's soft lips pressed to mine, a feeling very foreign to me. The kiss was soft and sweet and then he pulled away. His cheeks were rosy, and I'm sure mine were too. I was glad he hadn't tried to go any farther with the kiss, because I honestly had no idea at all what I would have done if he did. I don't know anything about kissing, or guys, or anything really. Ugh. He looked at me, blue eyes boring into mine.
"Celia, I know I haven't known you that long but I really like you. And we are going back on tour tomorrow, but I don't want to leave you behind. I know it's asking a lot, with school and work and stuff, but do you.. like, could you maybe come on tour with us?" He asked, words tripping over each other in his nervousness. The words hit me hard in the face, and I couldn't answer.
How could I leave behind school and work and the "friends" I'd made? How couldn't I, if going with Niall meant I had even the slightest chance of pursuing my dreams? What would my mother say? Of course she'd say no. Could I really give up on any future I had with Niall when what we already had was just beginning? It was so much to take in, but I answered him.
"Niall..." I started...
