Kiss

It wasn't the first time they ended up like this, almost kissing.

They had always been close, but everything changed when they started living together, in the same room.

Now they could hear and feel anything but their mixed breaths.

Hearts beating fast, eyes closed, mouths inches away...

Were they made for each other?, Joshua liked to think they were.

He wondered why couldn't they just be together, what was stopping them?

He wanted to kiss Seungcheol, he really, really wanted to feel the older's lips on his.

But Seungcheol... Joshua could never read him, one moment they were almost there, and the other Seungcheol would just separate and act like nothing happened.

Joshua decided to be brave, he would take the next step.

He was about to kiss Seungcheol, but the older stopped him.

"Shua..." he called, Joshua just hummed in response with his eyes still closed "are you sure about this?"

"So sure." he said, without hesitation.

Joshua didn't wait for Seungcheol, he just closed the gap between them and kissed the older.

It was just a soft touch of their lips, it lasted about 10 seconds.

They separated for a few moments, and then Seungcheol was the one to take control and kissed him.

This time, it was different, Seungcheol kissed him passionately.

The kiss was slow, full of love and anticipation.

The need of air, obligated them to separate again and they looked at each other.

Seungcheol caressed Joshua's cheek gently, with a sweet smile on his face.

Joshua just melted with the touch and closed his eyes, taking Seungcheol's hand on his.

"I wanted this more than anything, Cheol." he confessed.

Seungcheol looked at him, wide-eyed "Shua... I didn't know you felt this way."

Joshua left a soft chuckle escape "well... Why did you think I was about to kiss you every time then?"

"I don't know... I thought it was just the tension of the moment." he said "or, you know... The fact that we spend most of the time together, I thought maybe you were confused."

Joshua looked at him "I suffered a lot, you know? Now that we are confessing, I want to be with you, I want to be more than a friend to you."

Seungcheol smiled "you're more than a friend, actually, it's just that you didn't know it."

"Why didn't you tell me this earlier?, why didn't you just kiss me?" Joshua asked, hugging Seungcheol.

"I didn't want you to regret after, I didn't know you felt this way too." he said.

"So?" Joshua looked at him "now we are... Dating?"

Seungcheol looked at him fondly "Shua, I like you a lot, I love you... Would you like to be my boyfriend?"

Joshua smiled happily "of course, Cheol! I love you so much!"

They kissed again, and that night, they slept hugging each other.
